As long as it has "Call of Duty" on it, people will buy these overpriced special editions. And they will continue to make more rehashes each year. It's like the Madden of FPSs (although Madden is slowly getting better).
*sees the word confirmed*
!!!
*sees "fan made"*
Ugh.
Apparently it has 40 unique tracks and 100 variations. With that many, I'm pretty sure Deep Forest will be there.
"UC2 is still a more visually rich experience than Crysis... you realise just how much more juice is gotten out of the PS3 and 360 when you have games like UC2 and GOW3 competing with Crytek's game on highest settings"
What? The only way they could compete with Crysis is if you put the settings at medium. High and Very High are miles above what Uncharted 2 and God of War 3 can do, and the majority of us people with rigs to max out Crysis are able to do it at 168...
"Although it looks a great game...
I don't think theres a big enough market for the game to sell at that extent on launch day. It's only on PC and it's RTS"
Strategy games aren't niche at all on PC. Company of Heroes, Total War series, and the Civilization series are good examples and all of them have sold VERY well and are popular franchises.
Meh, the trailer didn't look very good, and the music sounded really generic compared to Yamaoka's music. I Personally I think 1-3 were amazing, 4 was good, and everything after was subpar.
*see Twin Snakes*
ugh they should have used the videos from the PS1 version. Twin Snakes cutscenes just look... off, and the voice acting is nowhere near as good as in the PS1 MGS1.
Worst driver ever, he can't even stay still on the long straight!
And it's probably alot more right now since the technology has advanced to the point where maxing Crysis isn't rare, and it isn't scaring people off. Plus we don't know how much more it's sold on Steam either, at the LEAST by now it's sold over 4 million.
Funny how the two controller charger costs EXACTLY the same as the quad charger. Which do you expect people to buy?
4 years of waiting for nothing =(
I remember when they showed the first gameplay, it looked amazing for 2007, and still does today.
"What do they mean by 3D Blu-Ray Player?"
Exactly what they said. Sony recently launched 3D Blu-ray players and 3D Blu-ray movies, but the player is pretty expensive right now.
Because companies like Nvidia and ATI/AMD wouldn't be around pushing graphic tech for PC gamers, and consoles would have advanced MUCH slower. PCs have a much bigger impact on consoles than you think.
*Meant as reply to Darkstorm*
"that was considered 'midrange' at the time"
"it's a 256mb Geforce 8600, btw"
What? The 8600 series was always low-end, it was barely above the 7600GT (which, by the way, was comparable to a 6800 Ultra, so you're essentially using a 6 year old card). The only real difference was DX10 support, which it was too weak to really take advantage of. And the 256MB is a large part of your proble...
PC, it's not coming to consoles from what I know.
"yeah because thats why it is hurting the industry, because everyone pirates games and ends up buying them afterwards... /s. thats some of the most redicilous crap i ever herd, sure some people may do this but it wouldnt be hurting game sales if this was true. its hard to believe that once people get their hands on a free vrsion of a game, that they would go out and buy it also. stealing is stealing, i guess i just have something against thief's no matter what the reasons/ excuses ar...
He has an insane love for Portal and Silent Hill 2, he mentions it in most of his reviews.
Eh, I play COD4 now and then, from what I played of Modern Warfare 2s multiplayer, it's just lame, laggy (P2P on PC, wtf?), and the maps suck compared to COD4.
"My predictions? 3-4gigs DDR3 ram, 6-8 core CPU, DX11 video card, and they will stick with a unified memory architecture."
I agree with the RAM, DDR3 is cheap and popular right now. And for the graphics card, I'm 100% sure that they will have DX11 cards, as the HD5770s are pretty cheap and even just that would be a huge leap from the current consoles. By that time there will be better cards too. I personally think they'll have a quad-core CPU, right now we...
"They should allow mods on consoles."
One of the big issues with that is alot of the mods involve changing key files or adding files to specific folders, and overwriting things. Even with UT3s mod support, we could only add mutators, character skins, and maps. Things like changing the hand skins in first person view, new weapons (modifying existing ones worked, entirely new models would be glitchy), total conversion mods, graphics mods, script changes (RPG leveling ...
