Disappointed? No , the story and script are great!
The graphics aren't UC2 standards - but still look fine.
UC1 is still well worth playing.
It's a shame, but no big deal.
The most impressive weather / time effects I've seen were in PGR4 . Every track had multiple weather/time settings, plus when it rained - you'd get puddle formation on the track which would affect your racing line.
I'd like to see that type of stuff in Forza 5 , actually I'd like to see a PGR 5 as well.
I'm surprised - I knew it was going to be good , but this good???!!!

I'd have to disagree - Kinect sports was far better then Wii-sports.
Boxing, football, athletics, bowling , volleyball, skiing /boarding, obstacle courses and sure any fitness and dancing games.
As for baseball, golf and tennis - just wait for the Kinect Sports 2 review - it's out soon.

It's sounds just like Forza 3.
Disc 1 has the game on it , you can play straight off the disc.
Disc 2 has extras to install (more cars etc).
So yeah , it's optional - but you'll get a better experience if you do install.
Nah , both have good looking cars + lighting - the scenery looks better in Forza 4 - look at the trees.

It's for accessibility. It's optional.
Like with Wipeout HD , my nephew likes that game because of the assist - it's easy for him to play.
Forza has kinect and steering assist - so it's easy for anyone to pick up and play - that's the point.
If you want a sim - turn on the simulation option, turn off the assists and turn the difficulty up. Easy.
No , different peripherals are better for different genres.
It's like the plastic guitar on Guitar Hero - sure you can play the game with a joypad - but the guitar is better suited.
It's the same with Move or the Wii-mote for lightgun games , and it's the same for Kinect and sports games.
The Move control scheme fits in well with the regular control scheme.
They could have used Kinect for QTE's or Ninpo - but probably not for full control.
Not that it matters - I'm playing it with a joypad regardless.
I played the demo last night , it was really good!

That looks pretty amazing - the reflections and the way the light glints off the cars looks ace.
It's not just the cars , the backgrounds look really impressive as well - I hope that mountain track is in the demo.

I agree with some points, PCs can do so much more then consoles, and the upgrade potential is endless ( with desktops esp.)
And yeah , console owners this gen have picked up a lot of negatives ( dlc , closed online etc.)
But I'm still doubtful if a lot ( looking at PC owners in general ) could/would or even feel like they should have to upgrade regularly.
If you just want to play games , there's no doubt consoles are cheaper and more ...
I think this is a growing problem in gaming. It's like some people have 'their preferences' and they instantly think anything that differs to them is rubbish.
It's like they can't seem to acknowledge that it's ok for different people to like different things.
I think it has more to do with ignorance , rather then time skill, or genre - haters just use those things for insults , as they'd pretty much use anything to differentiate yo...
Why don't they make it a computer animated movie? -(like Avatar.)
Amy Hennig could write the script , the original voice actors can do the voices and Naughty Dog could oversee the project ( if someone else produces it - they can work on UC4.)
If they did that - it'd be great.
