You read my mind.
That's a really good price for Rayman Origins.
I just wanted to retract part of my statement about Playstation Plus. Free games are deactivated when the subscription expires, but games purchased on a discount through Playstation Plus are not.
I find it difficult to live without both services. Both sides make valid arguments about Playstation Plus and Xbox Live. On the one hand, gamers feel slighted by Live for not including free online play for Silver subscribers. Plus, if someone already has a Netflix subscription, they feel like they're paying twice just to access the app on Xbox Live. But on the upside, Xbox Live offers a great deal of social networking. Plus, their amateur indie game section in the marketplace really helps...
It's the US version.
DiRT Showdown launched in North America yesterday (6/12/2012) for all platforms.
While watching Hulu Plus last night after a long day, there was a Wii U commercial that lasted over 5 minutes. It did a good job of representing Nintendo's new hardware. Ironically, it didn't focus on the new controller. Instead, it focused on the system's games and power.
Their in-game footage of Mass Effect 3 and Super Mario Bros 2 impressed me the most. If Nintendo can price the Wii U competitively and include powerful hardware specs, they will have a chance o...
I'm sure the PS Vita can handle it.
The link no longer works. "Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!" It looks like someone at Sony told him to take it down.
It releases May 15th.
I read the article (good article by the way), but what exactly will this new system be capable of doing? The article mentions that games can be played on the system, but what about disc-based games? It's coming with Kinect so we know that area is covered. But will owners of the system have to pay for the same games again and then stream them off the Live network?
It's a good idea for non-gamers, but for gamers, it's hard to say if this would be worth owning until...
Is a price increase possible? Anything is possible. Would it be in Microsoft's favor to increase the price again? Not really. Some gamers were unhappy with Microsoft when they increased the price of Live. Retailers began to sell the newer Live cards at a discount shortly after they were released.
The local stores in my area are constantly selling 3 month Gold memberships for only 14.99 when they normally retail for $24.99. Microsoft is constantly offering deep discounts...
Really? I was playing SFxT online about an hour ago.
I doubt Epic would have been impressed by 'weak' hardware.
Good deal on Xbox Live.
Wow. Just wow.
That is correct. The game would only work on one PSN account.
First of all, games are sold on read-only media. The ONLY way Sony could 'lock' games to a PSN account would be to 1.) use a serial number and 2.) install the entire game to the system's HDD like a PC game. This means the game would only be playable if you had access to the PSN account the serial number is attached to. We can all say 'goodbye' to used games if Sony decides to take this approach.
Is brand recognition important? It's important from a marketing standpoint. Even from a consumer standpoint the Playstation brand is synonymous with gaming. Even if Sony renamed its Playstation brand to something else, what would it matter to the millions of players that just started gaming? They still would be purchasing a brand they're not familiar with and it would take years for that new brand to establish itself. If you apply the logic of the article to this scenario, you end up ...
Rayman Origins is no longer on the list.
