Regardless of how people may feel about this, Sony still has the right to protect its copyrights and intellectual properties.
Even if this Geohot guy meant no harm, there are people out there that do (and if given the chance, they will use his exploits to attack vulnerable PS3 users).
This Geohot character doesn't seem to care about the possibility; he's too wrapped up in his own little crusade against the 'man'. (Shakes head in disgust at bot...
(Shakes head in disgust at the entire donation situation).
The SNES version was terrible. It was nothing like the arcade version.
It's really hard to say why Jill is on the disc. After the RE5 DLC issue, it's understandable why gamers are so upset about this.
It's quite possible that since Jill is unfinished on the disc, Capcom intended to include her in the official release but ran out of time. Just saying; it's anyone's guess at this point.
I happen to agree with your statement. The Playstation 3 still hasn't reached its full potential as a platform. Hopefully PS4 is still off in the future.
Very sad to see people lose their jobs, especially a developer as creative as they were. No offense to Activision, but they're making a big mistake shutting down studios that developed great games like PGR.
I really wasn't expecting that to happen. lol
I'll buy it even if the system is more than $299.99.
I dunno'... I've enjoyed every GTA sequel. Heck, I still play the old 2D version.
I love the Yakuza series. Gamers waiting to buy this game have no excuse now.
I disagree. Cheating still happens on XBL and that's a pay service.
Nice review! Fatal Fury is one of my favorite fighters by SNK.
Sadly in this case, the best games for the system were 2D.
Some very good questions have been raised. Initially, I purchased an Xbox 360 shortly after launch. I eventually purchased a Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii. For someone that is looking to buy their first console system, looking at hardware reliability, software library availability, and available services is a must these days.
Since all three major platforms offer online services, you should also consider whether you want to pay for it (i.e. Xbox Live with its additional cont...
I was really hoping this would be good.
What a sad day for gaming.
While there is nothing wrong with PC gaming, I happen to agree with the people here. There isn't a PC for $300 that would last as a gaming platform. Sure, some of the newer PC games look great, but we're also talking about a $800+ PC system equipped with a high-end video card.
The Neo-Geo was an incredible system. I remember buying the Neo-Geo AES
(this was the consumer version of the Neo-Geo MVS coin-op for those that may not know) and playing it until my fingers blistered.
I still have my Neo-Geo today and play it every chance I get.
Don Bluth also released Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp and Space Ace. I have a feeling that Digital Leisure will be releasing those on Playstation 3 as well.
When you first setup your PS3 you agree to an end user agreement. This end user agreement legally binds you. Whether you call the law an opinion or not, it gives Sony legal ground to sue you in a court of law if you violate any portion of it (i.e. modifying the hardware, exploiting it, etc.).
Geohot violated the end user agreement and he made it public; you reap what you sow.
