So you have to be a geek to game on a PC? Console owners are just cool by rights?
Or waiting for it to be dirt cheap on Steam...
But whatever guy.
Mass Market may be a stretch, youre right. But a quick look at the install numbers will tell you what Ubisoft meant. Ninty has a bit of an uphill climb to reach X1 and PS4. Ninty still has a strong docket of games to come out this year, so they may see a strong showing yet.
Completely agree. I would never deny myself the joys of donning the cowl and immersing myself, rather than go through the motions.
JB I understand your points. They are cost effective gaming. Hopefully the industry starts making better "cell phone games" to actually help move products.
BUT- I remember the Ouya and how little that unit moved. It was cheap. It was accessible. It played Android games. And it failed. Its a cautionary tale at its finest.
Apple and Android need to start kicking out some stellar original games for the masses to get interested. Nobody is excited to play flappy...
I cant wait for that Dino Hunter on my shield. Hopefully Hellraid makes its way to Android. I friggen hate Ios.
You really think Apple, Google, and Amazon consoles will be successful or more successful than the Xbox? Personally I dont even consider them in the running over Ninty, Sony, and MS.
HKgamer- They are Google Play games you buy in the store just like any other. The shield simply maps the buttons for you and adds a kick ass touch screen. It makes those crappy cell phone games more than playable. And if you run NVidia GPU at home, you can stream your full pc games to shield for portable perfection.
Pirating?! Are you kidding me?! How many times are you gonna pay for the same game?! Personally, I have bought chrono trigger on 3 platforms. As far as I'm concerned, I'm not paying for a fourth.
Sounds more like playing with fire.
How the hell would they get a kickstarter for a game that already has an owner for the rights? Think Valve would sit out while someone else drafted HL3? Probably not...
Grand Theft Autos, Half Life 2, Conduit, Final fantasies beg to differ. I Play these games all the time on my Nvidia Shield and they are great. I also use it for some emulators, but check out Google play and you will be surprised at the quality and quantity. They made me a believer...
Buy a Supercard. Play DS, Super Nes, Genesis, Gba, GB color, and regular Nintendo games on it. They are like $40. Check them out.
White panties and T or gtfo
I COMPLETELY agree with everything brought up in this article. These omissions drive me nuts on what could be a great game. Maybe Im too hardcore, I dunno. But GoodGameBro gets it right on this one.
Nvidia is, and always will be my go to. Love the performance and my Shield is a godsend.
I can't believe his only gripe with the game is that it wasn't released on consoles. That's some BS right there. What's wrong with a PC exclusive?
If the author wanted a console experience, maybe he shouldn't be reviewing PC games.
I played Origins last night. I think it was a great entry into the series. They added some good ideas like reinacting crimes, but they kept the tight combo system. Personally, I thought it was on par with the Arkham series. I'm sad that the negative aura surrounding this game kept me away from it for so long.
I want EA to explain why it isn't coming to PC.
Is this really still a thing? I just want to play the game. Not have a moral battle.
