«I've never really seen Xbox as a nostalgic company.»
«PlayStation, from time-to-time, absolutely. And Nintendo almost constantly. But Xbox? It is pro-active in preserving its history, but it's never been one to revel in it»
Yeah, that's why they keep releasing new Gears, Halo, Forza, Flight Simulator. Or released new Crackdown, Battletoads, Psychonauts
Not saying they're bad games, but they're about nostalgia, let...
You're joking, right? This is a bottom of the barrel at this point (even for COD).
Campaign freaking sucks, a bunch of useless dumb no-names (because some diversity hire said that COD (sic!) doesn't have memorable characters); another «super secret squad», that's trying to stop nazis from executing operation phoenix. Know what that means? No one does, you gotta wait for the sequel, i guess. Missions are boring, no improvements or innovations, no intere...
@Lightning77
No offence, but either there's something wrong with your reading comprehension or you're dreaming.
This is the first sentence on Sega website:
«SEGA Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "SEGA") and Microsoft Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Microsoft") have agreed in principal, a strategic alliance that explores ways for SEGA to produce large-scale, global games in a next-generation development envir...
Don't think so. Eventually - sure, it's a good thing more people would play those games (and might actually buy console later). But right away - no, it's not worth it. Why buy a console + $70 for a game then, if i can play it on PC (better controls, graphics, audio, probably costs cheaper, etc)?
And same goes for those subscription services, new exclusives should not be available on them day one, it'll devalue games otherwise (why pay $70 if i can pay $20 a ...
Now i want to play a crossover between Forza and Japan World Cup. That would be a perfect match made in weird japanese heaven.
Yup, it's beyond ridiculous at this point, look at the author's submissions, 15 of the articles (27 on that page, more than half) are «Amazon discounts up to X on Y» and all of the links have referrer in them (hiding via amzn.to shortener). This should be counted as ads/spam, plain and simple.
Wish they would tone down special effects (or their intensity at least) and either remove or tone down shaky cam too. Really hard to see what the hell is going on.
Nowhere i said i want a higher level enemies or «most menacing enemies» on first levels, please don't put words in my mouth. But, continuing your Mario analogy, goombas are menacing, one wrong move and you're screwed. Here, you can stand in one place and be just fine. Those cactuses- and snake-like enemies even look kind of cute. But have you seen those evil goomba eyebrows? There's a clear difference i hope you can see.
This looks so uninspired. Characters can't shut up for 5 seconds, but dialogue is so bland, voice acting is meh and so... confusing? I swear, i got Rocket and Quill mixed up at some points, they sound kind of similar. Enemies are boring, not menacing at all. Level was so huge and long, but there's nothing to explore, almost no alternative paths to take. It sounds very interesting on paper - ship salvage in space, held together and slowly consumed by some weird nano-shmano thingy. But:...
To be fair, it reminded me more of Just Cause that Fortnite or even Saints Row. You know, the wingsuit, tethering stuff, a lot of explosions/desruction, «sticking» to the roof of the vehicle, even art style/color scheme kind of look similar, IMO.
It's like every company trying to make the same game. This feels like an amalgam of COD, Apex Legends, Rainbox Six Siege, Valorant and so on. And why were they asking players for feedback if they don't care, i have no idea.
I guess, in 5-10 years we all be playing the exact same game, just by different developers and under different name. But graphics, genre, modes, gameplay, it's all going to be copy-pasted. At least, this is the trend i'm seeing so far.
Back 4 Blood was a straw that broke the Eric Switzer's back, su-u-ure.

«But even if Back 4 Blood wasn’t on Game Pass at all, does it really make sense to buy it on Steam? Back 4 Blood has cross-play, so it doesn’t matter where my friends play it. It’s also a Play Anywhere title, so when I buy it on the Xbox App I can play it on my PC or my Xbox. I likely won’t play B4B on an Xbox because I’m a KB+M player, but at least the option is there....
Cinematic trailer that explains nothing about the game (and might not reflect graphics and even characters that are in the game; some of the might just be a cutscene, for example). No gameplay and no explanation of the core systems to this day. This game (at least for me) looks kind of similar to the Gotham Knights (maybe because it also has Gotham and multiple playable characters). Game is gonna be released by WB Games and we know how they love extra monetization. As far as i remember, this ...
Yep, i agree with you, really surprised people are optimistic about this. Especially after last few BioWare games (Anthem, Mass Effect Andromeda). And Dragon Age Inquisition wasn't good, it was ok at best (aside from forced multiplayer, it was beyond awful) both story- and gameplay-wise. I beat the game with all DLCs on highest difficulty and it was just ok. I don't trust them to make Dragon Age game, similar to the first one.
Last good game from BioWare, IMO, was M...
I guess each line in the end credits cost them money or something.
Even if a person worked on the game for a week and did something useful, they should be put into end credits, they spent their time and did something helpful for the project, that's all that matters.
I guess, MercurySteam is still a bad company (for employees), thanks to Enric Alvarez. Remember all the Lords of Shadow 2 controversy? I do.
Kernel-level driver for a game, why is that ok? There are literally zero guarantees that it will have zero bugs and have bulletproof security, from any hacking attempts (they promise that they tested it, but no guarantees, just «RICOCHET Anti-Cheat team is committed to continued testing and is committed to iteration after launch», whatever that means).
According to FAQ, (i quote)
«The PC kernel-level driver monitors and reports applications that atte...
Yes, i agree with you. I read the original thread for 30 or something pages and not once i saw GOG official claiming that they delete just negative reviews (and saw zero proof that CD Project RED was doing that, just claims). But most of the articles or YouTube video were claiming that not only CD Projekt RED were removing reviews, refusing refunds and so on without any proofs, just «i saw people mention that» (if there were any proofs, i would love to see them).

This article in completely unnecessary. You find first waypoint in Cold Plains and you can't miss it. And Town Portal have it's purpose explained in it's name. There's even a popup that explains how to use it.
I hope that next articles are not «how to pick up loot», «how to kill monsters», «how to install and run the game» and «how to turn ON your PC or console»
Phalanx, really? Just wow... I mean, i understand if that was Penetrator, Armor Spider, Maneater, Old King Allant or even Tower Knight. I'm not Dark/Demon's Souls pro or whatever, but Phalanx is super easy, i'm not joking. You can use magic, fire bombs, spears or rapier with a shield if you want to have an easier time. It makes no sense, unless, those players were trying to play as pacifists, i guess.
Oof, i got a whiff of Allen Brack from this response. «We didn't live up to the high standards that we set for ourselves» is basically what they're saying. Yet, they did what they did, they only care about money.
I'll say this, most of the AAA developers and especially management got too lazy, too sure that they can do whatever they want and it will just be met with some criticism at worst, but no real consequences.
And if it will st...
