This is not acceptable, no matter how you slice it.
Yet, someone already rated it 7.5/10 https://n4g.com/news/248525...
No wonder why it keeps happening.
I don't think we need another E3, did people forgot about plans for E3 2020? Big focus on influencers, celebrities and data collection (whatever that means). Who needs that, seriously? Influencers, celebrities, investors and advertisers is my guess.
Not to mention, with each passing year, i noticed bigger and bigger focus on presentations and interviews (with management and CEOs, not development teams), rather that showing trailers and discussing them. Remember that And...
Ah, so this is that infamous «Easy mode» /s
«Overhyped trash getting a sequel , people act they like this game but it was one of the worst releases in that era»
said no one sane
Seriously though, i know it's a shocker, but different people like different games. You like Outlast or Resident Evil (or Paradise Eve, or whatever) and other like Dragon's Dogma (for many reasons, mind you). And it's fine. Don't act like you know better then everybody else or something, it makes you look li...
Ewww, constant reinforcements, slow and unrewarding battle (constant reinformecent and weak boss, pretty much), limited amount of actions (due to random same-y cards), almost no changes to the map/interactivity (yeah, you can "push" the enemy into some obstacles, but map looks/feels so small, Venom was hanging in the same location 95% of the time).
Not to mention graphics, i know others said it feels like a mobile game (it does), but it looks like one too. To be f...
I don't get the point of this trailer. I mean, we already had an announcement and 2 extensive gameplay trailers (even showing every available character) and we know the release date (a month ago, in a gameplay trailer). Such a strange decision to release this now as a «World Premiere».
Why they keep pushing the squad-based shooters set in Alien universe? First Colonial Marines, then that Covenant arcade game, after that Left4Dead-like Fireteam, now this (looks similar to Alien Breed).
What about survival horror, you know, like the first movie?
I dunno, i didn't enjoy the game that much. I mean, some side stories were fun (like the hoarder one), but there were too many fights and 99.99% of them felt the same and became boring very quickly. You acquire new "weapons" very slowly, so you have to use same options for very long and they become stale. Unless you first run through the story and do a clean-up run after completion and acquiring every weapon, i guess.
I do like that the map gradually opens up ...
Was hoping maybe they'll announce something (hopefully, Days Gone 2). But looks like no https://twitter.com/BendStu...
Not sure why they need a live stream for announcing something so no directly related to games, but hey, hope someone will enjoy this. At least they're being upfront about it.
Personally, i had no problems with pseudo-randomised damage types and weapons. But the fact that you have to farm relics for requiem parazon mods, then hunt thralls to reveal the murmur (which requires 3 different random requiem mods), after that you have to hunt for lich, down it 3 times, use the murmur (didn't guess right? Change mods and try again). And once you're successful, you have to use the Railjack to hunt the lich again, to finally kill it and get your weapon/ephemera (or w...
Way to run EA not into, but beneath the earth, Andy. Barely any new game series. Battlefield II fiasko. Losing exclusive rights to Star Wars (thank G-d). Ultimate Team, macrotransactions and same yearly sports games. Losing FIFA license.
The only decent studios left are Respawn and Hazelight, and maybe Codemasters. Criterion is mostly doing some "additional work", Bioware is just a shade of what they used to be, same goes for DICE, Maxis. Ugh, what a mess.
Can we please stop with extra «A»'s? First Microsoft with The Initiative, now this. It sounds so dumb, like it's some sort (pardon my french) genitalia size measurement competition, who's got the most A's? Imagine, in 10 years, you'll see in the news «Company anounces a new AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA + game»
I dunno, Saints Row 2 was a lot of fun to play, had good humor and had some very emotional moments. Maybe it's just me, but i haven't seen anything deep, emotional or funny in the trailers and gameplay so far (gameplay was looking fine, but that's it).
I can only talk about the singleplayer campaign. I didn't like it at all. There will be spoilers.
What i liked:
- Graphics overall is quite good;
- Voice acting is pretty good too, nice to hear some familiar voices;
-
Boss fights in Chapter 5 were good
;
-
Chapter 5, you can go through a portal and go back in time; it's a VERY small area, but i like the idea
.
Meh:

Not a fan of the Red Hood character (shooting looks like a better option than hand-to-hand combat, especially because you have infinite ammo) and his magical jumping looks so out of place. Also, why does Red Hood uses non-lethal bullets, but Nightwing just drops people off the roof? Batman wouldn't approve that.
Combat looks slow, i feel like animations are too long for what they're trying to accomplish. Also, don't like those cheesy one-liners. Maybe i got used...
This is coming from the same guy who wrote that cringe-inducing «A New Year's Letter from the President», all about metaverse, NFTs, blockchain. You know, the western CEOs wet dreams as of late.
It's ok to take good ideas and be inspired by other cultures/games/etc. But all Square is doing is trying to mimic - sorry, "imitate" - the others' success formula without fully understand why that truly works. Not sure why it took them so-o-o long to...
This is not the future. One of the options? Sure. But the day subscriptions become the ONLY future is the day gaming dies. I know it sounds melodramatic, but that's the truth. If publisher/developer receive same amount of money for $5 shovelware and $60+ AAA game, why should they make more $60?
Not to mention, subscriptions take control from you, as a customer. They can remove games for any reason (license expired, company was shut down, game was deemed as «offensi...
Gaming «journalists» Could Easily Write Interesting Articles Not About Game Pass, But Will They?
Seriously, stop it. Get some help!
Sony games are selling well on release, if they'll start putting their new games on the new service day one, they'll lose some sales for sure. Why would they do that, why would they shoot themselves in the foot?
@Bladesfist
I don't agree, i think both developers/QA/publishers should find and fix that. But if they released the game in a broken state, then reviewers MUST point that out and lower the score. It's their job. Not able to finish the game (especially a big long RPG) is beyond disappointing.
