Compare a multiplayer requirement, something that's been out since 2010 to something that's subscription based online game catalogue that's been around since 2017.
I know this website is biased but Jesus.. compare Psnow to Game pass if you're making it a fair comparison.
But no you won't do that because it doesn't shine a great light on your favourite plastic box 😅
Okay
Have to disagree, yes most of the blame is on the developer, but nothing is ever black and white.
CDPR is a self published independent studio, the pressure they would of been under from a financial point of view from the investors would have been massive. Plus the loss of customer satisfaction from all of the delays they were doing, people were straight up sending death threats to people's houses.
All of this culminated into a shit launch for the game...
The game wasn't ready when it came out and yes they pulled a lot of features.
The core gameplay, worldbuilding and quest design (other than those repetitive NCPD/Gigs) were all great. That's why I think it disappointed so much, you could see the game they promised was there, under a thick layer of glitches and lack of content due to being pushed out the door by themselves, shareholders, and us the fans. All 3 parties had a play in this.
Since 1.5 ...
Bad example games wise as I actually think the first hell blade is better than Last of us 2 (That is my opinion though ofc).
I agree with the fact that Sony 1st party output has far exceeded Xbox's, not as much this gen so far as on average Xbox has had better reviewed games, but once the big hitters for Sony come out it'll be the same story as last gen.
Recently got a PS5 and it's the first Playstation I've had since PS2. Got so many great games to play including this one 😂
Agreed for the most part, the PS3 streaming solution just isn't good enough, stadia has shown that streaming isn't quite there yet.
It's a decent change, but not enough to rival game pass, I'll have both but my main machine will still be Series X
Serious lack of games this year man..
Listen I'm glad they're combining the 2 services. Having 2 on 1 platform isn't ideal. Saying that the offering is literally that, playstation now and ps plus put together with no added benefits.
Everyone was expecting a bit more I think. If they said that they were allowing PS3 downloads instead of streaming only, that would help sell it a bit better for me personally.
The whole 1st party exclusives not being day and date.. I think that's ...
Why does everyone sound so salty when one company sells more than the other 😂
When both companies are doing well we benefit the most, look at what happens when one company pretty much steamrolls the competition.
We get the early PS3 days where Sony couldn't give a shit about their customers and their arrogance was unreal. We get the late Xbox 360 years and most of the Xbox one life span, the damage that Xbox did to their brand due to their awf...
About time.
VRR next and it'll be on par with Series X. Also make sure the latest Sony TV's support VRR instead of saying they will and never adding the feature like last year 😂
Not gunna comment on the BOTW comparisons.
Just here to say what a game this is. Really hope this pushes the change for open world structure, needs freshening up. Sick of map marker, activity we have hundreds of hours worth of shit content you won't care about vibe.
Genuinely think if they crossed this game with Witcher 3 quest design it would be for me personally everything I wanted in an open world game.
Yeah the PS5 UI is dog shit ngl. The fact you can't group things together is a nightmare.
If you're new to the Xbox eco system and don't know where things are here's a suggestion; use the capability that all humans are born with.
LEARN.
Congrats to the Devs. Really a shame about the bad press they're getting because of the egregious Microtransactions.
Waiting for them to sort the performance out on Series X before I pick this up, seems mad how bad PC and Xbox are. Digital foundry said it's something to do with Direct X so that might explain both said of things.
Regardless it seems like an amazing game, I just don't want my impression of it to be tarnished (wheeeeyy) because of frame rate issues.
PS5 players got it good with this game
Made it's popularity on PlayStation though let's not pretend here.
People can disagree all they like, all I'm saying is that both companies buy exclusivity one way or another, it's not a practice I like but it happens, get over going in on one company over another.
Such a shame to see them in their current state, only feels like yesterday when bayonetta was in its hey day and everyone was hyped for scalebound.
Feel like this gen will be the one where studios who aren't owned by one of the big three will ultimately fail due to increasing demand and cost of development.
It's a shame, I miss the 360/PS3 era where you got those little obscure 3rd party titles that would be tonnes of fun just not the best quality...
Yeah could be the case.
It's always a shame to see multiplatform games go exclusive regardless, I agree that exclusives are nesscessary for selling a platform and building it's identity. But third party deals like this do leave a bitter taste in one's mouth.
The industry at the moment though, building successful studios and new IP is much harder than buying existing ones.
Hey that's right mate, more power to yah
150% growth last year compared to 15% for PS+.
