Can you point me to the article which gives out the entire list of launchgames? I see you saying "Wii U is launching with sloppy seconds", so I assume you HAVE such a source.
You have PS Vita.. Indeed, you have: a great handheld with great graphics. BUT: still a handheld that's sold seperately and a device that game developers can't take as a certainty in making their games. With the Wii-U the developers KNOW they have got a second small screen.
Unless the majority traditional home TV sets bring us resolutions bigger than 1080p within the next three years, then I don't think the difference between Wii-U and the other consoles will be as big as this generation...
In contrary to sportgames and a lot of shooters, those games reinvent themselves every other generation...
And even then "milked to death" would imply that people are getting sick of it. But the userbase keeps buying it... The only people who are complaining about it are the same folks who gave up playing Mario or Zelda years ago...
I agree with you on part 1 of the sentence, but I just have to tell you that de Cube BC was never officially acknowledged by Nintendo. They do state BC with the Wii.

It's indeed bullcrap that MS's conference scores better than that of Sony. For me Nintendo showed the coolest stuff, but their conference to show it could've been a lot better.

I don't even know if the "next gen" will be THAT much of a difference with the current gen... We've had the step from 8 to 16 bit. Then it was a step to new storage mediums which could provide better cutscenes and more space to generatie better graphics. Then we reached the proper 3D-models generation and after that it was HD and
3D. The "next gen" will only update that last step, so if Wii-U can influence the 3rd party developers now they won't lose t...

I'm 30 years old and yes I do love my Nintendo fix. But my game room also houses a Xbox 360 and every one of the three PS-consoles. Stuff like Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, LA Noire, GTA, MGS, Gears, ... also rock my gaming world. So your simple categorizing of gamers is quite wrong.

@chanmasta (why can't I directly reply to someone...) I'm no native English speaker, but I thought it was obvious from my comment that with "size" I meant "capacity". And in that respect i'm right, like you admit yourself with the 25GB remark. Since Wii discs are no way in hell close to 25GB.
I agree on almost everything.
But I don't think we can consider Colonial Marines as "not confirmed". Since I'm pretty sure Nintendo would never show a game that hasn't been confirmed.

I'm in total awe of the Wii-U and 3DS. But I'd really have liked those announcements!
Dissapointments: No FF Versus XIII
"similar in size to a DVD" is speculation that's leading it's own life at the moment... Elsewhere (coming from Reggie) I've read that the discs will be "very large". And the Wii discs are already close to the DVD norm, so I don't think the Wii-U discs will be DVD-sized. They won't be Blu ray, but I'm sure they'll be closer in size to that than to a DVD.
I prefer achievements over trophies any day of the week...
