Have you seen stuff like DK Country Returns or the Mario Galaxy games? No PS2 games come close to that... And that's a normal thing offcourse. But just to counter your claim in the first paragraph.
I'd rather have it the other way around: LttP remake for 3DS and a Majora's Mask remake for WiiU.
Real gamers play games on ALL consoles.
It's not like Perfect Dark or Kameo come close to the graphics we're seeing now. And don't forget that they had the shift from SD to HD as a plus. Something that isn't a factor now. There is now big technological leap this generation. So it's normal that launch games of the new gen are comparable to games of the current gen at the end of the lifetime of the console.
Rayman Legends' graphics were at a level that PS3/360 produce now. And it's a launch game... Compare 360/PS3's launch games with their current games. Big difference, not? :)
Not the worst by a long shot, but it wasn't one of their best :)
According to Rockstar financial reports GTA V should hit WiiU around release.
If he said "The WiiU Game Pad is a piece of shit", he would be God here!
So one week it's on par with current systems, the next week it's almost as powerfull as the Nextbox and this week it's not even as powerfull als the current consoles.
Does anyone still believes all this crap???
The anti-used games geeks and the devs can cry what they want, but games are just too expensive. If you buy your games online, they get like 50% cheaper a month or two/three after release. Heck, I just bought ME3 for 29.95 €. That game has been out how long?
If they release their games cheaper from the start, they get A LOT more day one sales. It 'll take the CoD, FIFA, ... devs a bit longer to get their money out of it. But it's as sure of a bet as always AND the smaller game...
Playing it at the moment (Europe got it 18th November, but it was already on sale the 17th) and it is AWESOME. No Ocarina killer, but I was 17 at the time so that game will always seem the best (together with LttP) because of nostalgia.
Why should people be forgiving? GTA IV was an amazing experience and a superb game....
Same here... I'm not watching any of it to be fully surprises on 18th November :)
Blur was stil kinda cool. This one will probably blow that one away, but it wasn't that bad!
Exactly what I am doing now... I'm waiting for the Arcade Edition of SSF IV and I'm considering waiting of there'll be a "ultimate ultimate MVC".
Glad they're including the ability to play against normal SSFIV players, though.
Nice arguments!
I also think that MS will have the most difficult "next gen"...Too bad for them. 360 was my first HD console. But Sony and Nintendo are bigger...
I beg to differ.
Unless 2013 brings TV's in most of the people's homes that can display more than 1080p. And that won't be the case. So offcourse the PS4 and "720" will be able to bring more power. But since it won't matter for the majority of the households 3rd parties will look upon the Wii-U as they do with the 360 now: most common denominator.
I'm quite positive next-gen will have a LOT of multiplatform releases on all three consoles.
The argument about higher resolutions than 1080p and people not buying SUPER HD-Tv's the coming 5 years is really big... And I notice lots of people not paying attention to that.
NobodyImportant: You have to take the type of game into accounting. A game that doesn't take place in a "real world" always looks different... But indeed: the water and plant effects from Pikmin 3 surely looked at least as good as those in Uncharted 3.
