Got some mixed results in Batman:AO. My Average and Maximum FPS increased but my minimum decreased. Very increases, 1 and 2 fps on the Average and Maximum, but a 6fps drop on the minimum. Certainly no 15% increase in performance, but then again I believe this is more for weaker cpu's. I'm running an i7 4770k. It's also a beta driver, so it may get better, we shall see.
Slowing the zombies back down so they don't out run a normal human, and fixing them clipping through walls and fences. Those two things need to be fixed and I will be back to playing this game daily. @Oculus I'll name one, Skyrim. I'll just go by the numbers of people still playing the game, to know that it doesn't suck. Running 2k or 4k textures with other immersion mods (Lush trees and grass, Better Blood, Climates of Tamriel etc) makes that game way better to play on pc. lol IDK who disagreed with what, I didn't even state an opinion, but whatever. Just did the options menu benchmark test on Batman Arkham Origins, and checked ingame FPS with FRAPS, and for whatever reason, I'm getting 60+ fps with 8xMSAA, and can lock it at 60 with v-sync. Last time I tested it, the framerate dropped down to as low as 38, which is why I then went to 4xMSAA. Magic? No, kind of weird? Yes. But still interested to see what the update does for everyone.
This game is fun as hell, I would highly recommend it to anyone into old school side scrolling shooters. To hell with the people that bitched about a "sega game on their ps4". I'm going to assume they were all born after 1998, or just have no idea what fun is.
Looking forward to this update. Hopefully I can get 60fps on Ultra in Batman: Arkham Origins with 8xMSAA instead of 4x. Not far off now, and with the increases shown, it seems possible. It will be interesting to see what differences it makes. I'll be running some benchmarks before I install the update and after to see how it effects my pc.
@thezeldadoth I apologize for my personal tastes having changed as I have aged. I don't enjoy those types of games as much as I did as a child. That's just opinion to say that they got their purchases wrong. But I may end up getting a Wii U myself for games like this. The Mario Kart games are always a lot of fun. Exactly what lemoncake said. Just look at Watch Dogs recommended specs. Not sure if the game is optimized the best, IDK but that's pretty demanding if you want to run it at it's highest setting compared to most games.
4.5 isn't a lot though. You have these devs suggesting 8 gigs of RAM for their games, and that's not counting the 2 gb of VRAM that is suggested a lot of times. The ps4 only has 4.5 available in total right now. Eventually devs will run out, and have to significantly gimp console version of games. If not, the good thing about RAM is that it's one of the cheapest things in the pc to upgrade unless you want the absolute best, which isn't really necessary.

When I first got the internet, you couldn't do 99% of the stuff you can do on it now. My point is, things get better, improvements are made, new implementations are found, optimization happens. I wouldn't knock it yet. Give it more than 5 months to develop. If it still fails, well then you can have your time of false glory for accomplishing nothing but being a fanboy.
I don't think it has. But someone is going to have to do better than the Titanfall AI for people to have any kind of faith in it. That AI is arguably some of the worst in gaming history. I'm not sure that's a bragging point.
I'd just like to see it on Ultra @1080p, 60fps, and a downloadable, non compressed video. Regardless if you have a workstation or a "high-end consumer pc" those setting are going to look the same. The workstation will just be able to run it at a higher framerate. Sure that's not maxed out, that would be 4k, but most people run their games @1080p so a video at that resolution would be mostly pointless.

I wish they would let us PC players know a release date. I'm just wondering why it's taking longer to release the game for pc when we don't even get the whole thing (no Boss mode, or local split screen). Why is Destiny so hyped? Did I miss something? I'm pretty sure we know almost nothing about the game other than it's going to be an online FPS, and who it's going to be made by. Was there a showing of the completed game or something. All I've seen so far is that pre-Alpha build that showed, again, pretty much nothing. I want to be excited for it too, so can someone tell me what information people are getting excited about?
