I bought all the DLC for Gears of War 2 and frankly it wasn't worth it. Half the DLC maps were never regularly rotated in multiplayer or Horde even in specific playlists and the Delete scene DLC was rubbish and showed exactly why it was deleted. Love Gears of War but this season pass only shows on thing; they're committed to nickle and diming the consumer even before the game is released, which has been standard practice this gen with exclusive this and preorder that and DLC this. Whe...
Fuck 'em. I'm already paying $100 for the Epic edition and they're asking me to pay $30 more for content which should be free? Fuck 'em. Video game makers are treating its consumers disrespectfully. I'm pissed as hell at this. As big a fan as I am of Gears of War, this is bullshit.
No denying that this game will play great but it looks dated, even with a graphical update. It looks like Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Left 4 Dead wasn't a looker but I expected an update of Counter Strike to surpassed Left 4 Dead and this just doesn't.
Yeah, it looks amazing. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
I think I just got aroused. God that looked fantastic. Halo 4 wont look like that but God we can dream.

Well, the same arguments were made a week ago for XBox 360 footage of Battlefield 3 and PS3 fanboys decried it saying it serve Microsoft right for being in bed with Activision. The fact is, aligning yourself with 1 console when you're a multiplatform title hurts the entire fanbase.
The updated graphics are a step in the right direction but the maps look barren and flat.
Well they have Gears of War III in September, Forza Motorsport 4 in October and Halo Anniversary in November but I would think the fanbase those games already have XBox 360s, I don't see how those games will spur console sales really.
Great fan service. You a few Halo fanboys who aren't even fan of racing games will run out and buy Forza 4 just for this.
This game looked like rubbish from the jump. The demo was underwhelming as well. Can't believe Edge gave it an 8. Just retarded.
Valve needs to let it go. They've been banging on about this forever. The main reason of having a proprietary system is having total control on how revenue is generated. Why would they relinquish that? I get Valve's point of view but how would they feel if EA said, "fine, we wont use Origins with our games if you guys give us a bigger piece of the pie and control over how and when content is distributed." They wouldn't like the intrusion.
I always hear bitching and moaning about the PS3 version of Black Ops but when I'm online playing on the PS3 there's 120K people playing and enjoying the game. Go figure.
Seriously, no one outside of the core gaming community, and by that I mean those who visit sites like n4g.com and other gaming blogs, cares. Seriously, the general public, who make up the majority of those who buy games, aren't aware and frankly don't care.
@ evrfighter
You're talking about a game a generation away using technology that more than likely will be influenced by Turn 10's IBL system. To discredit the technology because of its current gen XBox 360 implementation seems fair to you right? Frankly, you're being as big a fanboy as chasedagreat.
Who is Mick Hocking anyway and who made him Sony's mouthpiece? I hate when one person's comment gets misconstrued as the view of an entire company.
It's disgusting when even video game journalists are trolls.
Is this like Star Wars Episode I Racer for PC back in the day only with Kinect?
Some of these guys are serious sim racers. There's an entire community that take sim racing really seriously. I agree with you though. Fanatec wheels are really expensive.
Call of Duty has a massive community that continue to support the franchise and demand new content. Look at the larger Call of Duty Youtube channels and how they've grown, look at the demand for Call of Duty content on Youtube channels like Machinima Respawn. The core gaming community are excited for Battlefield 3 but to be as successful as Call of Duty is, you need to attract a huge number of casual gamers and Battlefield doesn't. The casual gamer wants to be competitive even if they...
Anyone who believes Battlefield 3 has a shot of selling as much as Modern Warfare 3, is naive. Battlefield does not have the broad appeal Call of Duty has. To some, Call of Duty will be the only game they purchase this year. The community is still half a million strong nightly while BFBC2 barely has as many online as World at War does 3 years later. How much each game sells isn't representative of which is better but that's a different conversation. Modern Warfare 3 will easily sell 2...
