The game didn't excite me. The set pieces have all be done too many times before and I found the action predictable and not at all engaging. That said, I have 4 achievements for Halo 3 and find that game even less engaging that Killzone 2. Now the Killzone and Halo fanboys can equally disagree with me.
Dude, I agree with you. I have one single trophy for completing the first mission. The game was terribly generic.
Seems like Rocksteady delivered on their promise of a AAA title. I was skeptical after playing the PS3 demo available at Gamestop for a number of weeks but early reviews have been glowing.
I bought the game without even playing the trial. It wasn't necessary. For $15, it's a great value.
Sony has been humbled, it's just fact. The redesigned Slim PS3 will be released less than 3 years after the PS3's launch. Compare that to the 4 years and 8 months after the PS2's launch before the redesigned Slim PS2 was launched. It's not a desperate move but it shows you Sony now has a sense of urgency.
Edit: @ Nineball2112
Microsoft needs humbling but PS3s flying off store shelves wont humble Microsoft. XBox Live is Microsoft's bread and butter. I hope you see...
To be fair, Levine had nothing to do with the PS3 version of Bioshock. They basically squeezed him out. Him not working on the sequel wasn't by choice. Most of the Irrational Games team hated working with him and called him an ass. They left and formed 2K Marin and got the go ahead to port the game from Take Two.
It's about time. Sony thought brand recognition would suffice instead of an aggressive marketing campaign but being in last place humbles you doesn't it.
I own and love my XBox 360 but I agree with you. Sony has not been aggressive in asserting its place as the industry leader. RROD alone should have crippled the XBox 360 and the brand. How did Sony not capitalize on Microsoft's biggest misstep? pure arrogance. But they've been humbled a bit so hopefully you see more efforts to revitalize the Playstation brand.
As has been reported a number of times and detailed in a 2007 Take Two earnings report, the 50 million dollars was a loan and if Microsoft did not recoup from the sales of the timed-exclusive DLC, Rockstar would have to pay that money back.
Sony should be wiping the floors with Microsoft, not running neck and neck. The mighty has fallen. Hope they have been humbled and can pick themselve up.
Please piss off gargoyle. Crysis' story was terrible and the characters and dialogue boring. The second half of the game is piss poor.
I played Crysis. It's a very run-of-the-mill, by the numbers, generic shooter. I'm not as excited for the sequel. Obviously at the time Crysis was the best looking video game ever created but the game never impressed me beyond that.
The writer didn't choose his words carefully but I agree somewhat with what he's saying. I had the same response when I first saw the gameplay videos for God of War III. It's really God of War II in HD. The art style, scale and enemies just seem familiar. That's not the games fault. The hardest thing to do is top yourself. So it's all less impressive.
Wait until Activision comments and takes credit for forcing Sony's hand. SMH!
The UI still looks like a clusterf*&k but the game looks and plays great.
I doubt this is the case. The PC with its dynamic and more technologically advance hardware gives developers way more headroom than the static architecture of current consoles.
Not very impressive impressions of the XBox 360 build of the game they saw. Not very impressive impressions across both versions of the game apparently.
It's a common syndrome. When the perennial favorite stumbles the vultures hover around the carcass waiting for his demise.
Okay seriously which is it? Is the XBox 360 more expensive or less expensive than the PS3? Because fanboys can't seem to make up their minds.
The orginal Forza has a higher metascore than Gran Turismo 4. While XBox 360 owners are often accused of using sales to justify fanboy arguments, in this case PS3 owners are quick to point to the GT franchises sales than acknowledge that the Forza franchise has had better games than recent entries in the GT franchise.
