There is no cell complicated tech, otherwise there would not be uncharted or any other remaster on PS4.
Licencing is the issue. Those licences had 10 years expiration date (or whatever deal was) so now Sony has to renew them aka pay again to those people for their work (music, engine, design..other words intellectual property)
Thing is, now those games would not see sales in millions only thousands, so they are not profitable to renew them for next 10 years.

X360 era, or previous gen, was very long and had a lot more performance issues because it didn't have variable Rez tech.

Sony is speaking in better language. They had great UE5 demo with also great State of play of GoT and LOU part 2. People can't really tell what's next gen and what's not, but they do know that new games and engines are coming (general public).
Meanwhile at Xbox headquarters they need to respond to all of this, but they don't have similar material, so all they are selling is performance and teraflops that general public or hc gamers can't really see.

Hdd has nothing to do with your heat in Ps4pro. Console has APU - cpu and gpu in one, so when the temp from apu goes up, sensor kicks in the fan. Mostly it happens with games that are 4k - gpu strain, or high frame rate - cpu strain.
In display settings, set your screen to 1080p, and turn off supersampling mode. Some games can have display settings to choose 4k, or 1080p high fidelity - advanced effects, or high framerate. Choose 1080p advanced.
