I already own The Matrix trilogy on HD DVD, but I can't wait for The Lord of the Rings to be released.
Wow, that author is one angry guy.
You need to calm down, sparky. Life is too short to get that worked up over video games.
Being able to buy two Xbox 360's for the price of one PS3 is really going to hurt the PS3's sales this holiday season, I believe.
Microsoft picked the perfect time to cut prices.
Looks a lot better on the UE3.
I've never liked the gameplay on AA games in the past, though.
I think this game looks very cool. In particular, I love the use of color that's seen in these screenshots.
It's like Gears of War meets Devil May Cry.
Hopefully the gameplay will be solid.
"taken out of context. i really don't think Harrisson would discourage his teams like that."
Was this also taken out of context?
"I believe that the Sixaxis controller offers game designers and developers far more opportunity for future innovation than rumble ever did. Now, rumble I think was the last generation feature; it's not the next-generation feature. I think motion sensitivity is. And we don't see the need to do that." - Phil Harrison ...
I'm sorry, but it's very hard for me to believe these cries of poverty (due to used game sales) when the video game industry continues to have record sales year after year (I believe in 2007 alone they raked in 19 billion dollars and are projected to be generating around 70 billion dollars annually by the year 2012).
That "F" in O.M.F.G is incredibly offensive, but something tells me that you couldn't care any less.
Yes, I agree that Resistance 2 has an impressive list of technical achievements.
I simply took exception to Mitchell's assertion that Resistance 2 unquestionably looks better than Gears of War 2.
None of the Resistance 2 videos that I have seen (or the beta that I played) have impressed me with the graphics. In fact, Resistance 2's graphics barely look "current gen" as far as I'm concerned, and don't even look as good as the 1st Gears of War.
I'm not saying that as a fanboy (I own a PS3) it's just that I really don't see the "amazing" graphics that so many people are carrying on about.
Team vs. team is all well and good, but if it comes at the expense of a simple (but universally loved) Deathmatch mode, then that really sucks.
If it's true, my excitement for this game has dropped by at least 50%.
So not cool.
Am I reading this right? There is no Deathmatch mode?!
All I see is "Team" Deathmatch, and if there is no "every man for himself" type of straight-up Deathmatch I am going to be pissed!
I don't play in Team Deathmatch mode because I get tired of playing on teams filled with people that have zero skill. I am very good at playing FPS games and I like to win or lose based on my own abilities, not someone else's.
I REALLY hope that ...
I purchased the Halo 3 Legendary Edition back when Walmart lowered the price to $50 (if I remember right) and I don't intend to ever open it.
I just figured for that price it was a must buy, so I bought it and put it in the closet.
People in the gaming industry that have played Left 4 Dead have said that the game is very, very awesome.
While it is not being hyped like a lot of other games, I think that people are going to be pleasantly surprised when this game gets released.
Wow, sucks to be K-Mart.
Christians are insulted and offended on a daily basis by millions of people, yet not a word is said about it nor a thing is done about it.
Apparently, until you start cutting the heads off of innocent people, nobody really cares about who gets offended.
This world gets more messed up with each passing minute.
I'm just worried about the controls.
It's been pretty much confirmed that they are very "floaty" and it seems like in every video I see of this game the person playing it has difficulty performing very simple moves.
It looks like most people are able to look past it, but I am afraid that it will get on my nerves rather quickly.
I'm still buying it on day 1, though, so I will be finding out soon. : )
Some of my favorite games were not liked by reviewers.
Therefore, I will make up my own mind.
Sony would be very wise to rethink this.
The backlash that it will create will be insane!
As someone that owns multiple HD DVD players, I gotta say that "losing" the format war was one of the best things that could have happened for us.
HD DVDs are cheap. I mean DIRT cheap. Like Transformers for $1.99 cheap.
I have around 70 HD DVDs and I paid $5.99 or less for at least 60% of them! Many were $3.99 or $1.99! I got the Matrix Trilogy for $20, season one of Battlestar Galactica for $14.99 and a bunch of other insane deals.
I buy...
