Don't say "like Silent Storm" unless it has destructible terrain and full physics and trajectory mapping. Every tactical game pales in comparison to the masterpiece that was Silent Storm.
Even I am surprised that the X didn't lead Microsoft to their best years. I thought that certainly they would easily top 2014, 2015 and 2016. I guess the bright side is it's not the worst year either.
PS4 continues to sell 3x the consoles and Switch is doing more than double and remains on track to over take xbox in 2019.

There is no rumor Microsoft has never said that, that's just what xbox fans want to believe. But the whole idea of that defeats the whole purpose of a new generation.

Why do you think people still want to buy physical. It's hardly like this is the first time this has happened. People lose Steam, Origin, Uplay ect accounts all the time. This was one of the big arguments against Microsoft always online digital only future.

That's not true at all.
Yes there are a few cross generation games (like Fifa) but the majority of games especially the big AAA games move on to the next generation. There were almost zero big games that were on both 360/PS3 and xbo and PS4.

The difference is PlayStation games are highly rated and sell millions.
Most of Microsoft's day 1 games have been games that were poorly reviewed and stood no chance of selling the numbers that Sony puts down.
Sony is it the much better position, they can sell millions of their games and then put them on PS Now later.
The X came and PS4 continues to sell 3x as many consoles every month despite people like yourself who were certain that being the most powerful console was going to be the end of PlayStation and that everyone was going to rush out and buy one.
But what was the reality? PlayStation won November 2017 (globally and NPD) out selling all of Microsoft's S sales and all of the X pre-orders.

X1X userbase will be combined with the Scarlett system. That's not how console generations work nor has that been confirmed. The whole point of console generations is to upgrade the hardware to move the industry forward. I certainly hope the next generation won't be held back by the 15 year old Jaguar CPU that's in the X.

PS4 Pro is $400 and has been on the market for a year longer. Plus there are huge manufacturing differences between the Pro and the X. The Pro was made to be inexpensive, it uses the exact same hardware as the PS4 but with overclocked parts and the GPU is basically just a second PS4 GPU put into a SLI like situation. The X is an entirely new console they used a new CPU design a custom GPU design a brand new MB layout brand new RAM. The costs aren't co...

I got the first Parasite Eve as a surprise birthday gift from my cousin when it was new, i hadn't even heard of the series. But I still consider it to be one of the best gifts I ever got.
I would absolutely love a new modern game or even a remake of the first one or a reboot of the series.
