This is one of those situations where they made a move which shows goodwill but is just a pawn they were willing to lose just to show they are doing something about the loot box issue.
The big issue here is that gamers are loud but only for a short while and the big companies know that, so they are willing to look bad for a couple of weeks and then resume their dodgy loot box services. More needs to be done to show our voices but unfortunately, sites like IGN, Gamespot, Polygon and ...
"Police have yet to say which video game he was referring to, but apparently, it's a mobile game."
A mobile game...sigh
No, you can't guarantee that. All of the Ms studios will be working exclusively on Xbox and PC, that a guarantee because of its been mention by the studios.
The way matt answered that question lead straight into Minecraft being multiplatform and give you a clear indication of what type of games could be multiplatform. For example, if Ms buys EA and gains the rights to FIFA then it would be multiplatform because of the player base across all platform. This doesn't make sense ...
Tony Hawks is doomed. I can already imagine the number of skateboard skins in loot boxes and microtransactions
Yeah, having watched the interview it clear that Matt was trying to humble with his answers. This is clear throughout the whole interview he didn't always give a clear answer. He use Minecraft as an example with was already on other platforms. If its a big game like Minecraft then it would make sense to be multiplatform but smaller so game like psychonauts, the other world and other will in the future be exclusive to xbox.
Its got everything you need on a controller.
nope
It's not gorgeous....it looks alright. They still are not nailing that classic final fantasy look and feel. I'm quite disappointed.
I wonder what the people who love video games and Donald Trump's racist ideology are thinking right now. Would they defend video games or their racist president.
From reading some comments since trump said those word about video games the reaction has been quite mixed.
Remedy games have been really short but they are great and concise.
Microsoft should purchase Gearbox. They ported the first Halo game on PC and were being eyed out to take on the Halo franchise, so there is a relationship between MS and Gearbox.
Relax, spacing out release announcement needs to be smart and come at the right time.
It's always important to push into unknown territory you don't know what you might come out with.
India similar to China are really smart about how they consume games. They won't go out of there way to buy a expensive gaming machine instead will settle simple pc gaming or mobile.
The Sony, Nintendo and Xbox console don't have a big market there but with alternative such as streaming it will without a doubt remove a barrier to for games.
They play games of course it not a third world country like the west likes to portray it. A Pakistani just beat the world's best Tekken player at Evo so yeah they do play video games and make them too.
Got a copy of Control with my new Nvidia card. Can't wait to see how it looks.
The main writer is really in the Feminist movement so I doubt you will have Joel as the main character.
I personally don't see why you should play as Joel after the ending of the first game. I think they made that point really clear after giving you control of Ellie after the hospital scene.
If the game doesn't need it then it doesn't need it. It's not like RPGs where transferring gear is necessary for another playthrough.
Personally I think PS plus and GWG need to offer indie or AA games instead of AAA. Most of the games coming to psplusand GWG I have alreadyed.
I'll prefer to stick to GAMEPASS or maybe PSnow for AAA titles.
Dark soul's story revolves around a never ending cycle. Dark souls 3 showed us the end of that cycle. No point it show us anything after that. Plus Dark soul 3 dlc ending left me quite hollow inside, the thing that made me feel the same was Berserks eclipse and Evangelion neon genesis.
Focus home interactive are the reals heroes this gen
