I have even platinumed it.
One shot means you can't direct the game using a variety shots which are vital to convey certain story elements, point of views and frame shots to emphasis ideas.
One shot movies need to be expertly directed and only few can achieve that. It has many restrictions that can hamper the experience.
It seems I need to be clearler with what I say. This is N4g afterall
When I say backlash I meant blacklash from the developers within Santa Monica who were against the idea of a one shot sequence for the whole game.
You'll think when I mention Cory Barlow recieving backlash it would automatically correlate with the development side not the finished product.
You clearly don't know how people were against the idea of having a single shot when Cory Barlow wanted to make God of war.
I know what a so how shot is. It's the laborious task on implementing it as well as making it transition with gameplay thats the issue. And God of war didn't really need it as barely made a difference.
But we'll see how it goes in an fps
I don't know how I feel about it because it was received with backlash at santa Monica as it restricted gameplay. It took time to adjust to that style. Also doesn't really add much but a cinematic flair and a over complicates things.
Well from the discover hope trailer the shift from fp to cinematic is pretty seemless.
What are you on about?
What made the last of us special was the clear attention to detail. Joel isn't the type of character to just change especially with Tommy who have both been up to some grisly stuff in the past. They had a way of life before TLOU and so they were a ruthless duo from the get go.
At the beginning of the game when Joel tells Tommy what happened it was a clear indication they they should tread carefully now more than ever.
Then the st...
Wrong.
He had this whole thing planned out from the start. He just didn't want to reveal it and kept misleading with the trailers.
The leaks ruined all of that.
*Spoilers*
I always knew that Joel was going to die but I didn't know it would have been so badly written. The always suspicious Joel, who was wanted by the fireflies just freely introduced himself to a group of random strangers with his back turned to them. This is poor...
I'm from the UK I don't know how its is other countries.
I reluctantly ordered it at 2:30 pm yesterday. It's was dispatched later that night and arrives at at 9:20 in the morning. Fun fact, I live near a Hermes/amazon depo so I got the game pretty fast.
Haven't even started the game yet as I was at work.
It think it grew up plenty with games like
ff6-ff10
SMT games
Persona
Drakengard
Slient hill 1 and 2
Nier and Nier automata
Lost Odyssey
These game includes dark themes and did not try to pander to an social groups for extra points.
Persona 4 for example had a character that was gay but it didn't outright tell you that he was. His mind was in conflict and the world you visit showed that.
...
I got the game this morning gonna try it after work and then return it to Amazon.
But surprisingly, there wasn't any of these articles on how Sony was sending DMCA to YouTubers and their hypocrisy on censorship. Why is downvoting an article?
Sounds like n4g are playing favourites
November 19th...is that when the consoles release
"I mean after Halo Infinite. After that game, are you telling you want another Halo game from them, again?"
Yeah definitely, you don't seem to understand what type of studio 343i is. They are a Halo only studio, same as Santa Monica are a god of war studio and Polyphony are a GT studio.
Don't click it guys...
How can I unsee this....Neil Drunkman clearly doesn't know this fanbase
...you do realise that there hasn't been a mainline Halo game in 5 years.
If you're disconnected with the series that cool but don't come here and act like Halo games gets made left and right.
Halo is the main franchise for Xbox and will always be there. It doesnt need your approval.
The Halo community is eagerly anticipating Halo infinite and want more of the Halo universe.
343i ain't gonna move from Halo. They are designed to create Hal...
No because it was proven wrong by other reliable insiders.
Sony fans don't advocate for it so Sony won't even attempt to even consider it.
I can imagine they are going to remaster several games.
It's the less relevant site that tell the bigger picture. There are ample amount of YouTube channel that do actual reviews rather than an IGN review that just amounts to summing the game and slap a score rather than critic the game.
