Sony doesn't have the infrastructure or manpower to support online games that aren't massively succesful, and it cost them more than say MS. They also aren't as committed as evident by their slate of games. So to save $$$ they shut it down.
Because PS VR is extremely limited to gaming, and has very little content. Even Sony is barely supporting it with software, they did instead try and sell you new hardware. Sony makes good money on that when Oculus can sell theirs for $399.
Which is sad that this is what gamers see as needed, but hey, it works for PS4.

I hope it is exclusive to Xbox, just so the pendulum swings the other way. Hopefully people will get that exclusives is anti-consumer and shouldn't be something consumer ask for. It is even crazy that people ask to make multiplatform games exclusive as if that gives them something extra, as opposed to taking away choices.
I think it is one of them cases were, the other side is finally bitten by the exclusivity. If only everybody didn't chant exclusivity this entire time. Phil Spencer is delivering exactly what people asked for.
PS4 Pro didn't sell out in the US, but Xbox One X sold out Scorpio Edition across the board within hours and had people lining up outside GameStop. Currently the standard edition of XBX is sold out at Amazon and Target. Meanwhile UK retailers are asking for higher allocation.

System wide super sampling would be nice, and boost mode that works correctly instead of, you are on your own.

That is a good point. A year later and no system wide super sampling. A decade later, can't change user name still unless you want to loose content on your profile.
Doubt it. That VR support is hampering GT Sports. The reviews will prove it and that is after a whole year of delay too.
