With all you that you said ...... Yet the game is doing very, very well even at $70. Also I find it odd that in all you pointed out like mid-tier visuals, minimal voice acting, AA release and so on that no where do you mention is it fun. You mention buzz words like AA is if Single A, AA or AAA has ever been defined. One could call Returnal AAAA game the way this game is talked about, the way this game has reviewed so well and the overwhelming vast majority that did ...
Why are people crying about a $10 increase in the price if a game? Look if one can't afford the little $10 increase there are other gaming options for example if you like hand outs then maybe the Xbox Game Pass Food Stamp program is for you. Now you get a bunch of old 2 and 3 generation ago games along with some Indy games you've never heard of but you also get some Xbox First Party day one releases but those they only see 2 maybe 3 a year and those games can't sell outside of the...
If your like the author of this article and need your hand held and a pat on the back And told what to do, where and when to go and you when its over you need a participation trophy then Returnal is not for you.
"Hang in there for another 121 years and you might just get that wish"
But you gotta remember...... "hang in there"!
@WithoutTheJanin
Sorry Jamin maybe its your TV that's got a issue or maybe you need your eyes checked because 1080p or upscaled 1080p in no way is blurry or as you say "blurry as hell". No one Is buying and no one is playing games that are blurry.

I mean no offense with my opinion to anyone on this topic because money Is real and for many in short supply. But if the $10 price increase is a bridge to far for you maybe and I repeat "I mean offense" but maybe you need another hobby. The hardware cost alone is a steep price that BTW is sold at a loss then add the multiplayer or rental service charges and its costly. You do have options as you can wait for a sale and purchase the games or wait for the price drop and there are othe...
I agree with your comment and it is what it is that $60 price has stood for years now and it just cost more to make things add to that marketing cost as much as the game itself if not more. A $10 hike is more than fair. You get 10, 20, 30 to hundreds of hrs of game time form games does anyone think that if movies were 10 to hundreds of hrs long you'd pay the $10 to $15 you pay now?.... No! It's sad but fair.
@S2Killiinit
No offense but Microsoft knows exactly what their doing they underestimated nothing. The Nintendo Switch was selling like crazy long before the new Xbox consoles released that's fact that everyone knew. Microsoft flooded the market with the Xbox Series S as best they could with the Covid and all knowing that they would not release a Xbox First Party game for close to a year after the new consoles released knowing the Series X would not be available if they under p...
No price you pay for ANYTHING is "worth" the price you pay. You purchase a $50,000 car and you don't even need to start the thing up but as soon as you buy it's no longer "worth" the price you paid. This is how the Free Market works so is Returnal "worth" $70? Hell No! But its what we'll pay and I paid it last night and was more than happy to do so.
The good is that in this Free Market world we live in you do have options as you can wait 3 or...
I had a great time in both and I hope in the next couple years we see a Nioh 3.
@MagicLequeenJordan
"PS5 Launch games were atrocious too".....
What are you going on about? The launch games for the PS5 sold millions on the PS5 what more would you want? What launch games did Microsoft have? Let me look that up cause I don't know.........
Wait what? The Xbox Series consoles had no launch games, NO LAUNCH GAMES! And to this day Microsoft First Party has been unable to produce a single new game for their now 6 mont...
How exactly does Sony play it safe? They have most popular platform and their First Party studios produce Game of the Year games and the ones that don't win GoTY are award winning games that sell in the millions and they've released many new IP just in the last 7yrs not including the new IP that'll release later this week that has received excelled feedback to this point that's not safe at all. Sony is the leader in gaming you don't get become that by playing it safe.
Now wait that's not true. 600 days is looong time and they did release a few First Party games that no one played or no one can remember by name but you do make a good point and it don't really matter if its been 6 days or 6yrs for Xbox First Party what they've released has been poor at best.
Lol!
@GamerRN
I don't get how his article is skewed he's saying it's not good value for "him" I feel the same way about Xbox Game Pass as do most gamers. Are you saying that if someone that writes a article or has an opinion and they don't tow the line for Microsoft than that article or opinion should be dismissed? Xbox Game Pass is a rental service that's filled with a few old AAA titles but the overwhelming majority of the games on the rental service are In...
That's kooky talk when marketing is total BS and everyone knows Microsoft has the market cornered on total BS its what they do best.
They are all EA games and other than a couple of them the servers are empty but if your gonna run a rental service you gotta pretend like you care and keep these games going. Sounds like some good will but really a crappy game on day one like Say Titanfall is still a crappy game at 120fps 7yrs later but the crap runs smoother. Anyone remember when Microsoft was hyping Titanfall as the Call of Duty killer? Lol ....then the second it released it died never to be heard from again.... Until tod...
@NecrumOddBoy
Jim Ryan by all standards has done a pretty good job since taking over as Head of PlayStation. The PS5 release has gone as well or better than expected and the PlayStation First Party is releasing really good AAA games with Demon's Souls remake and Spidy MM releasing along side of the ps5. Last week PlayStation FP released a multiplatform game that is doing very well and they'll be releasing another AAA game next week that happens to be a new IP and h...
Isn't this the problem with every Microsoft First Party game over the last 10yrs? They get these overly ambitious ideas that no developer can obtain and then in the end they settle on broken crap that they release. We know that making a great game in not that difficult as Nintendo and Sony have no problem releasing one banger hit after another and Sony puts out really good new IP like they know what their doing. Halo has a solid foundation why can't Microsoft just get out of the way....
