Remember, parents are the ones buying the system. Price point is the driving factor when your demographic is preteen-20. The Wii is geared toward children and children do not buy 500 dollar consoles.

No one who wons a Vita is complaining. The only people whining are those who are ruining the gaming industry by supporting lesser hardware.
The Vita is the best handheld in the history of gaming, period. If you don't want to buy one, that's fine of course, but to say that it's doomed is crazy. The Vita is so far ahead of any other handheld it's silly. It's a true marvel at what it does.

There were close to 30 operating and playable Vita games there.

The Auger is a perfect example. You can't launch the shield without using your thumbs. Unless you put the device down and use your index fingers I suppose, but that would be absolutely pointless.

I used to think that way also.
Then I saw the Vita. The Vita breaks the mindset that mobile gaming isn't on par with consoles. Now it is. Vita is simply awesome. Anyone who is squaking about mobile gaming being weak should play with Vita for a few hours and then re submit their opinion.
