We have no way of knowing if this is true. But it certainly COULD be. This is pretty much exactly what I would expect Nintendo to have on a show floor.
Have a few games to play, headlined by the new Zelda, and show off a few others in video for only through the direct that shows people what they will be playing a little further down the line. Meaning Metroid, maybe a new IP, and maybe a thing or two we don't expect.
I kinda expected this already. This and Metroid.
That's fine, and ultimately you're right. But every time a zombie game our movie our whatever, is made, it means something else isn't being made. I don't have a problem with trends. Often they give more ways to explore a given idea. My issue is when we stop doing progressive things within a trope. Usually even then we can brush it off saying"well the fad has reached its saturation point so there's no use complayning. It will be gone soon." But the intense ferver ...
Hmmmm, after seeing the video though...maybe it's good I've passed it up...
I was always curious about Rumble Roses.
I'm really distrusting of the whole f2p thing. The idea that the game has to be designed around joy reducing walls bugs me.
Never played Mark of Kri. Always heard good things though.
I just mean that it's everywhere; movies, TV, books, comics, etc. So it's inescapable. If you cared about teen vampire stuff you could watch Twilight (or the other variations), but if you didn't you could pick up a video game. The fad pretty much left that medium alone.
Further, that most of the Zombie tropes have been explored already. Almost everything now is some variation on whats been done already.
Lastly, as per problems with it, the bubble ...
There have been a million hints at its existence. I'll be pretty surprised if it isn't announced at E3.
It looks good but I've bought Yoshi's Island twice already and this doesn't look like something I need to augment that number for.
Yeah, what @izumo_lee said.
I think if the game had been cancelled we would have heard about that a long time ago.
I was under the impression this wasn't supposed to be very good. You guys seem to be pretty excited though. Maybe, if and when I get an X1, I'll have to remember this...
I really wish the Zombie craze would die already. See what I did there?
But seriously....it should die.
Yeah, I suppose my desire is for a handlheld version, not a 3DS version really. But I don't have a Vita sadly.
I have a ton of gamy systems. More than one can ply this game. But for some reason I don't think i would be willing to buy it unless it was on my 3DS. Enjoyed the demo, I can't give a good reason for this desire.
I got my pro controller a year or two ago. I can't say I ever used it much but I do feel that anyone who wants to take the console seriously (even if that was never many) really needs it.
I think it's been easier for people to pick apart the gameplay than the story. And indeed, I really don't see it as terribly special in regards to its shooter mechanics. People do dissect and complain about the story of course, even if it's not a universal revile. And ultimately, the depth and wonder of that story is enough for me to say Its a game I really loved parts of.
It depends on how heavy handed you want to be as a story teller. At least it will till we figure out how to do framed narrative in the context of interactivity that makes sense.
People who are beloved and die early get a special kind of veneration it seems. I get the backlash and if you're a fan it's gonna be hard to put that aside to enjoy the game. But I suppose it's probably best to just not play it. To try and realize that it may only feel like desecration to yourself but isn't actually an true for everyone immoral act.
I work at a theatre and I'm working Monday over the course of the broadcast. I just keep hoping mine gets added to the list...
