I feel this desperate need for Nintendo to do well. I don't even have a Wii U but I feel like they get something special nobody else seams to. So this, and everything the Wii U gets, pleases me.
I find it funny that this is even a thing. I mean, really, it's about a suspension of disbelief. But if you think about it, all games where you get to play as a character who interacts with a world let you do almost nothing. You can use a stick to make the character move. To simulate walking around. You get context-sensitive actions sometimes, and/or you get a handful of buttons that correspond to a handful of actions.
Think of Tomb Raider. You can walk, run, jump, climb,...
I like how many Japanese-developed games are in the top 10. I know the last 10 years has really been about the rise of western game development (among other things of course) and the subsequent fall of Eastern importance. But I'm more sick of western-style AAA games than I ever was Japanese design tenancies.
So I find that I miss playing their games and feel a real pleasure in seeing them do well.
I really don't understand. I'd think one of the easiest things Nintendo could do to pad out its Wii U library would be to release a lot of Virtual Console games quickly.
Even if they released one big game from NES, SNES, GC, GB, etc. libraries each week I think they would probably have quite a bit of software to entice people in just a year.
I remember making fun of a friend who bought the Wii U at launch, just as I did when he bought a launch 3DS. I since have purchased my very own 3D handheld and adore it. I think it won't be long before my wallet is eating crow on account of both systems.

This is the part that got me. I clicked on this already assuming that it must be untrue in some sense. That maybe there is some small way in which the PS4 can do some small trick that enables an article to be titled this way. But no, this is them saying the PS4 version will be vastly superior.
But this can't be technologically necessary. Hmmm, nothing against the PS4 of cours...
I was going to type "I didn't care about this on One, I don't care about it on the 360" but then I realized that would probably be trolling...so there we are.
I have this feeling the Wii U and the 360 are both going to do very well in their own countries and relatively poor in other countries. I wouldn't even be surprised if the percentages of adoption rates end up looking similar.
I've been quick to speak against the idea that Nintendo should get rid of the gamepad, but if things like this keep happening I'm not going to have a leg to stand on.
Let me be clear, I adore Nintendo, I don't have any next gen system but I'l love to have a Wii U, and Mario Kart and 3D World both seem fantastic.
But, as sorry as I am to say it, Nintendo games that seem to do the best early on are the ones that have some kind of wow factor. As awesome as those two games are/will be, I don't get "wow" from them.
No. If 3D world couldn't do it than i don't see Mario kart causing a different result.

PSO was the only online RPG I ever liked. I played WoW for a bit but ultimately couldn't get into it.
I feel like all I ever do anymore is say bad things about The Last of Us which Is misleading because I really DON'T hate it...but yeah, The Last of Us's boosters. If you're not a fan than you're pretty much in league with the devil and must be dealt with accordingly.
If I had to guess I'd say he meant at least 250 THOUSEND copies.
I have enjoyed the Resistance games more than pretty much any shooter series over the last 10 years. It's not perfect but it always felt Half-Life 2ish to me. And that I enjoyed.
