Crazy that people are making these games for free, just because there are fans....and there are multiple projects like these!
Absolutely, but it should also be fairly criticized if majority of people don't see the value there. I think that's important to consider because many people are big fans and would like to buy special editions for a fair price, now their only option is to spend outrageous amounts of money on cheap items or not buy the special edition at all.
I mean Gears literally changed third person shooters ever since it came. Remember games like Dark Sector, 50 Cent game, etc. etc. Basically like how Halo and Call of duty changed console FPS.
To this day there's no third person shooter multiplayer quite like Gears.
“Uncharted 1 was announced, and then Gears [of War] came out,” Pope says. “And Gears invented the modern third-person shooter.” Naughty Dog had originally begun its work on Uncharted with more of a Tomb Raider control system, Pope says, which meant more auto-rolling and auto-aiming. “Suddenly, Gears came out and showed them how to do it. So we changed everything, six months before release.”
I'm not ignoring the trade off I'm talking exactly about the trade offs. It's more expensive and weaker, but it's portable. Beyond that it's a matter of is the trade off worth the price, that's up to the individual buyer.
The issue with that would be the price because a stronger portable system would just cost more. Switch is already more expensive than base PS4/XB1 while being weaker.
Rare's story is just one story. They've been bad for 14 years now, it is not representative of every studio MS buys. Granted they haven't proven they won't destroy all those studios but that's not the point I'm making. Point is that Gamepass is ahead of its competition which would translate to their streaming service, and multiplats can make as much of a difference as first party games. If Gamepass secures games like Assassin's creed, people would consider it much ...
Well yea seeing to believe applies to almost anything, but the plan makes sense. Look up the studios, most are top notch.
Considering MS bought like 5 studios last year, this won't be the case for long. Secondly, it doesn't have to apply to first party titles, securing big multiplatform games through streaming/Gamepass services is a huge selling point, like Netflix has with Marvel movies.
We need Shaolin monks 2! That was a really cool concept.
Lol maybe you could have also tried the last 5 COD games, they're worse.
Agreed. Remove all dance moves please.
Well they're making an animated movie for Warner Bros' streaming service that's to come out later this year, so that's something to look out for!
@rainslacker
"Saying that since they're developed on PC, nothing is exclusive, is really trying to stretch things."
That's precisely my point. I made that stretch to show how ridiculous this article is.
MS's model is clearly not going for exclusives but only console exclusives as part of the MS ecosystem. Saying that there were no positively reviewed exclusives in 2018 is redundant because they literally don't...
This whole technicality trolling is fucking stupid. Technically there are no exclusives on any console because all games are developed on a PC so there is always a PC version out there. Technically a console is just a simplified PC. Technically you can't play MS published AAA games on all PC because not all PC's can handle them.
Facts are:
- Xbox doesn't have any exclusives (for a while now and going forward), but MS does
- Xbox has console ex...
That's awesome, I really like this game, wouldn't have tried it if it wasn't on gamepass.
Wow this is so freakin cool! I'd pay for this. And is that a new variation of the soundtrack? I never heard this one.
Agreed. They need to get the story right, and the really expand the campaign with much bigger sandboxes. MP they already have a great foundation, as long as they have good BTB maps it'll be perfect.
If you have Xbox it's best to get Gamepass, even for a couple of months you can try this plus many more games.
Yes I agree the problem is probably on both sides. I also think both Bungie/Activision got too greedy, they made a shit ton of money from D1 let's not forget, but they also had unfair pricing policies pretty much forcing people to buy Taken King to keep enjoying the game. This likely led higher revenue goals for D2 and expansions, which they decided to cheap out on by making barely any graphical improvements and hoping the growth would keep happening like Call of duty. They shot themselve...
