First person and Third person can present VERY different gameplay experiences. You can't just expect them to switch their entire vision so you can see the Ford's back in game. It's just a character and you see plenty of him in cutscenes. I think making it this way sets it apart from games like Uncharted and Tomb Raider, in third person it would just be a clone.
Halo 5 warzone was highly underrated, the first PvPvE I played at such an epic scale. The REQ system wasn't good but it also allowed for some badass weapon variants never seen in Halo before, all it needed was an overhaul. Hoping they'll bring it back in Infinite.

What I meant was I wish it was a structured campaign that could be played single player or co-op. To my understanding the first one was like a procedurally generated battle mode with some objectives thrown in. I was hoping something more like Lost planet.
I actually barely played the first other than the demo LOL, so it's the opposite for me. I'm just impressed by the animation of the monsters and how they're taken down. And this one also looks great graphically.

They shouldn't need to have their reasoning nitpicked and to justify it if that's what they feel confident with. All the games you mentioned are RPGs or shooters, most linear action-adventure/puzzle solving games are third person, like Uncharted, Tome Raider, and clones of those games. In that specific space it is kinda unique.
