This is the type of comment that people who never had an xbox or gamepass would make. By all metrics Gamepass has provided the best value ever seen in gaming history. Throughout the past 5 years the amount of games I have been able to play, especially day one games, is insane. I would have never bought or played 90% of those games and because of the GP conversion deals I paid maybe a grand total of $350 over 5 years which is like the price of 4 games.
That being said, I do ...
That's exactly why this headline statement is not necessarily correct. It's saying "play more games". There are so many great games on there that every few weeks I'm downloading a new one, and have a huge backlog. I also must say, I only have a limited amount of time I spend gaming but having access to all these games definitely makes me put in more time then I would otherwise.
Mirage! Noiceeee.
Sad they're getting affected by lay-offs though. Their work is amazing.
LOL
I really don't think there's anything crazy about this. The first time it was a proper remake after 9 years. It has been 10 years since that remake and this is just a touch up for them to release it on Playstation, it would be worse if they DIDN'T remaster it. Also it's free for people that already own the ultimate edition on xbox. I don't see a problem here.
Man I can't keep up!
Day one on Gamepass WTF! gift that keeps on giving.
Well that doesn't change that it looks generic I guess. I see some slightly cool art choices, but the graphics are almost mobile quality and enemies are generic robots.
LOL check the opinion of the rest of the internet and take a look at the textures. I'm a fan of Bungie.
Man it just looks so generic. Graphics look like Breath of the Wild mixed with Cyberpunk. Textures are flat af right now, perhaps that will change.
I don't think it's necessarily a "MS games" thing. Atomfall has nothing to do with MS, and most studios are allowed to do create what they want. I guess you can say a lack of MS interference can mean studios are free to make cookie cutter games if they like. You also have games like Doom that have a lot of gameplay depth, so it doesn't make sense to generalize.
This looks like cursed halo at its finest, love it. They need to bring mods to consoles.
lmfao halo and clunky? Two words never used in one sentence congrats. Hence Halo multiplayer is still alive today, hell even Halo CE is played online consistently. Clunky games don't survive MP.
As much as I love the new God of war saga, I really miss the scale and epic set pieces of the OG games :/
Ascension is 12 years and 2 generations old. I don't see how anyone wouldn't want to see a current-gen GOW experience in Greek mythology. The only condition would be that they do it in with the classic style of the original games, with a pissed as sociopathic Kratos, epic set pieces and enormous bosses. Can't imagine how crazy a Poseidon type fight would look on PS5.
Not to mention they also replace old base games with "bundles" back at full price. Some of the old and shittiest COD games are still full price on digital stores.
To me the music, style, and especially the gameplay is more casual T rated fun than something realistic, dark, and gritty like TLOU. It's just more reminiscent of their games like Jack and Daxter and Uncharted. If I was to think of space games I see it as more of a Guardians of the Galaxy rather than Mass Effect. I'm sure it will probably create its own image though, best to wait and see.
I always wanted to see Naughty Dog's take on a sci-fi or fantasy game, but I wanted to see a gritty TLOU vibe. This is more of a light-hearted Uncharted vibe. If the quality is there though then it will be worth it. Just can't say I like it at first glance.
That music is just something else!
