How many people actually buy games based on release date though? I'm just wondering. Do people forego on buying a game if it conflicts with another game they want?
I pick beforehand what i want to buy and buy it regardless of when it comes out. For example, this year my game purchases are/will be Witcher 3, Gears ultimate, Halo 5, Star wars battlefront. I could care less if all those games came out the exact same day, I'd just buy them after a period of time anyway.
I don't see what the problem is. People who want TR will buy TR, people who want Fallout will buy Fallout, and people who want both will get both.
Why does releasing on the same day matter? It's not like if I want Fallout 4 on that day I lose my ability to buy TR. I'd just buy it the next month...
Because the games probably weren't ready to release earlier.
I don't think that will work, they want to keep everyone the same, and since there are no swappable abilities like halo 4 it's even more unlikely. Besides, things like "sharpshooting" can't really be reflected in gameplay.
They're probably just segregate classes by starting weapons.

I find Last of us way better than Uncharted. More gameplay variety, a lot less linear, combat is so much more visceral, I loved it.

Halo 4 big team battle was better than any of the past halos. It was far from a mess.
Halo 4 was an amazing game. The reason you don't hear about it because the vocal community are hardcore halo fans, and halo 4 didn't sit so well with them because of certain features.
The good news is that if you follow 343, they've ditched those features like ordinance drops and loadout and worked with MLG pro players to make the arena mode for halo 5. Also people have played halo 5 beta so they know what they're getting, and it's friggin awesome!
That's all agreeable, the difference is in the art style. I myself prefer the original gritty art style with high contrast and lighting, but people were here complaining that the GRAPHICS are worse, which is a joke. They looks crisp and smooth as hell.
Halo is too big to die. I don't mind if it keeps going as long as every game is a quality title and comes after a reasonable time.
