They were banking on Microsoft absolutely dominating Sony when it comes to a 1v1 battle. Obviously Microsoft lost but I'm shocked that people who were in charge of seeing these trends beforehand didn't see this coming.
They should have made it two days. With Redbox, 2 bucks for 1 night, I can easily complete a 15hr game. I saved quite a bit of money last year just from Redbox alone. This year I completed Stick of Truth in 1 1/2 days with lots of time to spare.
either A) your vision is shot B) your reading sucks or C) you're trolling.
That would blow people's minds.
You're an idiot. I can broadcast whatever the hell I want. That's my right. What you should have said was, it's Twitch's right to ban whoever they want because it's their service.
Pachter strikes again! All kidding aside, he gave a pretty basic answer but it's a little more complicated than that.
First of all, PS+ has different subscriptions. Not every PS+ user is paying the same amount. Some are paying more than others, and others are paying less.
Obviously the 49.99 one is the best deal in the long term, however the 17.99 presents a decent term at a less upfront cost. The 9.99 sub is for users that only want certain games so th...
"I tend to have a good grip on both the logical AND illogical, but the way you guys think... it's something else, entirely. "
Only with Xbox fans.
just wanted to leave this comment here directed towards midnight:
DF openly admitted that PS4 had the better framerate, better resolution, controls.
The only thing they didn't like between the two was the texture filtering and a lot of intelligent people will say that it doesn't deserve the win while other people (usually Xbox fanboys) will say that it does (despite fanboys not knowing wtf DF means when they explain these things).

AAA is a buzzword that's manipulated and used by the industry to describe a high budget production game. Before the term got popular, I used it to describe games rated 9.0 or higher.
Yeah. Really. Shame on him. Taking his game exclusive with MS for a lump sum fee is less money than releasing multiplatform and making more money over time and overall.
It also alienates his fanbase and prevents it from creating new fans on a platform that has more customers. By the time it reaches PS4, nobody will care and gamers will be buying other games.
For a multiplatform game like Batman:AO, it'll cost upwards of 40,000 dollars to roll out patches on all platforms. At this point you might as well chalk it up as a loss, sell the DLC which is guaranteed to generate money, and then pay for the final patch depending on how it performs.
Oh god here we go. I'm a PS3 gamer mainly but console gamer attitude towards PC is fucking pathetic. PC gaming is actually pretty damn great but console fanboys can't get their head out of their ass long enough to go get a decent machine. You don't even have to spend more than a console if you build it right.
Bring on the downvotes fanboys, I don't give a crap anymore. I expect it for your poor commenting and behavior.
PC games are coming? We've been waiting for a long time. When are they coming?
yeah keep on downvoting, unintelligent fucks.
that doesn't mean you can go to his country and hunt him down!!!
When you're getting hounded in your own country it goes beyond the thousands of dollars that you've made. Show some goddamn respect. This guy is a real person and it seems to me that most people see the product and the money and think that the people behind it don't exist.
Not many people knew this, +1/1
I defended Pachter before on the grounds that he is a financial analyst (his viewpoint is coming from business side) but I've had enough of his crap.
He completely fails as a games analyst. If he's a games analyst then I must be 10x better than he is and I'm not even getting paid for it.
3rd parties will be all over PS Now due to one simple thing. They're not making money with their older games the way they are. PS Now gives them an opport...
@Icicle
Pachter bought a Xbox One. He only "craps" on the XB1 purely for the business decisions MS is making but as a gamer he is MS all the way.
What they're trying to do is eliminate Sony's install base and adding to their own. It's sleazy alright. But I don't think Microsoft gives a crap.
Consoles are sold at cost. 399.99 in USD is 444.05 in CAD. They're just adjusting the price to match it's real value.
