You have to realize its like that with most products in Europe vs US. I can't speak for Australia but I grew up in England and now live in the US. I'm no economist or money expert but nearly all imports seem way more expensive over in Europe. Its not because of Sony, that argument is ridiculous. I know import levies and taxes etc are way more draconian over in Europe, I think that has more to do with the reality of the situation.

I would think Sony or anyone else would not care how they got you to fork over money for a movie. On a disc or as data of a broadband connection. I mean, business is business no? They are still making money selling movies? I cannot see the majority of HD TV owners downloading movies, how long does it take anyway? For a full 1080p 2hr film? I don't think it's fast enough to kill sales of discs entirely.
Kick ass! Beautiful presentation and graphics and timings are arcade perfect as far as I can tell. ( I played arcade version allot last summer in Tokyo). The graphics are so crisp and the colours are really full and nice. How come Sega (am2) can get games looking this good, but we are seeing washed out 'blurry' images on multi platform games such as cod2 and Nba street? I wish Bethesda would redo Morrowind with the Oblivion engine or a better one. It's a far better game than oblivion. More detail, more everything. And the art design was stunning. Not that oblivion isn't great, just Morrowind was an incredible gaming achievement. It's just in need of a new technology overhaul is all.
But I know online PS Store is in its infancy, but at least its free. I would NEVER pay, to play a game I already paid for.
Well, here is another ported multi platform job that looks crap on the ps3. I personally don't care about crappy sports games etc, but Its sad for those who like this stuff to see the blurry crappy ps3 port. On my regular crappy tv, my ps3 looks crisp. But thats playing other games than this. But I do think, and I have said this before, that Microsoft's choice of ATI is way better than SONY'S choice of NVIDIA. I always liked ATI's image quality even on my pc. Colours are better. Period.

As a long time HUGE fighting game fan I can tell you this. Tekken games are the most 'noob' friendly. But VF games have suffered in the past from being a little too difficult for beginners to get into. But if you spend the time, you will realize that its so much more than the often infuriating 'cheapness' of Tekken.

No, these graphics are allot more advanced than even the 360 DOA but the Art design is way better on Tecmo games thats true. But look at the lighting on the character models, and the mouth detail on vocals etc. It's definitely the most advanced 3d fighter in the visual department. But not necessarily the 'best' looking.
There is no way on Earth that ANY console could run those graphics in real time. Not a chance. Maybe in 5 years.
What a load of $hit. I agree with the guy that said all licensed games should be banned. They ALWAYS suck, except for one. The only one good licensed games was Goldeneye on the N64 and how many bond games have been screwed up since that one? All of them.
Since thats what I have in my ps3! But this is way too early to call. And if you look at head to head comparisons, HD-DVD is slightly better so far on high def tests. Not that the 'best' format ever wins anyway, but I thought I would just throw that in.
But no online? Sucky. I bet X-spot (gamespot) will score this 8.7 for the ps3 and 9.0 for the 360. Just my prediction. And they should score the 360 one higher, because that is a HUGE advantage.

Honestly? This is happening allot with multi platform crap such as EA games and Activision etc.. There is NO reason why textures should look crap on the PS3 and even you guys should admit that. Average crappy games such as sports games that get banged out at a rate of one every six months, are not really looking into other consoles hardware specifics. They develop on pc based machines and PORT to ps3 for extra sales...
THe graphics on the demo I saw at my brother in law's where really impressive. Lighting and textures are really insanely lifelike but for ONE thing. The framerate looked unplayable. I have to say, that was months ago so I don't know how it will end up. If they can get this game running at a SMOOTH frame rate with that lighting etc , it will blow ALL other WWII games out the water.
Because that is far more balanced and advanced. If its done by Namco, it will be more 'cheap'. I like Tekken BTW its just not the best 3d fighter.
