I played it on PC. Beat it launch weekend and only pushed on because the game world was actually beautiful.
The game itself was easy to forget and totally boring.
I'm playing on PC but find that Leon's hair almost looks like it has scan lines at times.
Has anyone else noticed this?
I'm playing on a LG OLED and have the game set to 4K with hair works on I believe high.
Yeah, new IP'S have worked out well for Cliffy.
They don't need buy anything.
Simply make a quality new Socom
A bad ass Killzone
Make sure the Twisted Metal reboot is epic.
New Jak and Daxter
That would be an awesome next two years of games without spending a fraction of what they have.
Instead we will get trash like Destruction All Stars 2
What worries me about the model has been the quality of new games.
Infinite is awful
Gears is a shell of what it was popularity wise
Perfect Dark had to outsource to Crystal Dynamics despite The Initiative being touted as a monster studio
Rare hasn't done jack squat since Sea of Thieves which was like 6 or 7 years ago launched just new content
Fable is trapped in hell again
For Microsoft Forza is the only franchise ...
Just because their budget was increased doesn't mean that they will make as much money.
If anything this model puts them at higher risk because these studios can be shuttered at any moment when Microsoft deems that their games aren't worth the investment where the games may have sold enough to fun them for years.
Just seems like a bad model for studios despite being amazing for gamers.
Look at all the high level talent that has ...
WTF are you talking about? I never once said this model impacted people who work on the games.
I'm simply asking if a studio gets rewarded as much from 100,000 downloads vs 100,000 actual purchases.
I wonder how much Microsoft pays a studio they have taken over to put their games on Gamepass?
You can't tell me 100,000 downloads of your game is as valuable as 100,000 purchases or even 80,000 purchases.
Long term I just don't see how studios can continue to not make insane profit from the sales other than making gaming even more cancer with micro transaction BS.
Game is nowhere near ready. Spring 2024 unless Microsoft wants another flop to follow Halo. Any gameplay I've seen which I would assume is the best of the best for your trailers has looked janky and awful.
Switch Lite is the dumbest option ever. With the level of drift and joycon problems you're cooked if either side stops working.
Genuine question as I have totally tuned out of BF 2042 but since launch how many NEW maps have there been? Not current maps reworked but literally new maps?
I get it but 30FPS in 2023 on these new consoles is embarassing.
60fps should be the target with RT on period. 8K which the PS5 hilariously claims it can do should be where 30FPS is the target.
At what expense though? If the game is already chugging at times RT will further drill it into the ground performance wise.
Feel bad people lost their jobs especially when it should have been all of the managers to get fired and anyone with a decision making job.
The earliest sign for me that 343 was clueless was when they launched the multiplayer with no stand alone option to play Team Slayer.
Was a confusing idiot decision.
Bad news for Halo to be honest.
Hopefully the entire leadership team at 343 will be fired or replaced and they can figure out this game.
In my opinion every 6 months you need at least 4 new maps and fresh modes not just reiterations of Land Grab added.
We have also only had one classic map return in almost 1.5 years since the game launched.
Not good enough.
Bring in Blood Gulch and others to bring b...
Real Patch Notes:
Still an incredibly unpolished mediocre game not even remotely close to worth full price yet alone $50.
Makes perfect sense when a PC will destroy visually what any of the current gen consoles can do and the fact you are.......I don't know running an entire OS on top of the game and background programs.
There hasn't been a good FF since FF X outside of any remakes so I won't buy anything. Problem solved.
I'd love to see Bungie do something other than Destiny which for me has just been a boring series of games.
Curious how many OG Halo team members still work for Bungie and if they could make a true rival to Halo one day or if that ship has long since sailed.
Not quite the first but very close to it. I actually was able to eventually buy the copy I had rented countless times from my local videogame store.
Just loved these games.
