...because the highlighting crap reminds me of Halo ODST (and Bungie made it optional in that as well).
In fact, it's surprising to me that the FPS genre is just now getting into the RPG elements, considering:
1.) RPG stands for Role Playing Game
2.) Video games that are made in the First Person Viewpoint tend to be more immersive than TP or Isometric/top-down viewpoint games. There's no better way to really get into your "role" in an RPG, than in the FP.
Games like Mirror's Edge, Breakdown, Chronicles of Riddick, Deus Ex, The ...
...and I've seen ZERO screen tearing on the 360 version. The framerate is rock solid, 95% jaggie-free visuals...and easily the best looking console game this gen (thus far).
Sorry to burst your bubble......but you overpaid for a custom-built PC by more than enough to build a better one yourself, + purchase the game. You didn't get sh*t "for free". :o

...wasn't a generational evolution of technology, like most new engines/iterations. UE3, Id Tech5, Frostbite 2.0...those are evolutionary iterations of engines from some of the industry leaders. CryEngine 3 is really CryEngine 2, adapted to multiplatform development for easier...and better...optimization. I don't expect a real leap in graphics until CryEngine 4, which likely won't emerge until next-gen.
In fact, I assumed it got cancelled long ago, since no new info had been released in ages. This was also coming to 360...it likely did get canceled for budgetary reasons.

...Crysis 2 beats Killzone 3, hands down. Killzone...like MOST shooters... is a linear experience, therefore giving devs a lot more to play with, when it comes to making what you see look as good as possible. When you make a fair comparison between Crysis 2, and other sandbox games like Just Cause 2, FarCry 2, and Crackdown....the winner is still very obvious. But Killzone isn't even in the conversation.
