September launch vs November launch
$100 add-on vs $150 add-on :o
...and so, another fly gets caught in their web. ;)
...so I wouldn't expect the console and PC versions to get much better....likely 7/10. The game will be awesome, no doubt... Edge just likes their hits. :o
What's this then?
Um....because they would have been redundant, with millions of Sony fanboys doing just that anyway? Don't dare act like this is a one-way deal...it just makes you look like a pathetic fanboy yourself. :o
It's ironic that you post that, considering the topic of this article. If TM had been multiplatform, it would have had online long ago, thanks to the resounding success of Live. Sony has spent an entire generation trying to play catch-up in that department.
...that shipped = sold, as long as there is moderate/steady demand? Only when sales completely stagnate, and overstocked items have to be marked down to move them, does that no longer apply.
It's really quite simple.... unless you're a hard-headed fanboy. :o
...you contradicted yourself, don't you?
Nevermind...you probably don't have a clue. :o
Just like with Kinect...and really ANY new retail product... stock shipped to retailers, is based on demand. If initial sales of a product show a strong demand, retailers... i.e. Wal-Mart, Best Buy, GameStop, etc... will typically order larger quantities for restock, and continue to do so until there is a strong indicator of market saturation (sales drop-off).
A great example of this is the Wii. Shipped #s for the last year are less than 1/2 of any of the previous years...
- God of War collection
- Sly Cooper collection
- R&C collection
- Team Ico collection
- ....and more to come
And those aren't even true remakes...just rehashes, with upgraded resolutions. Sony is taking advantage of people, by first removing BC (with upscaling), then forcing people to re-buy games they already owned, to play them again.
This is MUCH different, as it's a complete reboot...following a prequel (Reac...
....Sony fantrolls are absolutely pathetic...and 'The real killer' is the worst of them all.
As many have already pointed out, several games have in fact succeeded in humor...the author just needs to play more/better games, and never waste bandwidth with another stupid opinion piece.
The games that best portrayed humor, either through script, gameplay devices, or more subtle aspects are:
- Armed and Dangerous
- Oddworld : Stranger's Wrath
- Psychonauts
- Brutal Legend
- Voodoo Vince
- Battlefield: BC
...The Musical! :(
...who got the Allen Iverson reference. ;)
...a resounding "Hell yeah!" ?
Now if only all other devs/publishers would follow suit. Movie-based games are always utter failures, because of time constraints, tight budgets, and the need to adhere to source material/plot. With so many quality games being made that are basically interactive movies to begin with, i.e. Uncharted, Mass Effect, Alan Wake, Heavy Rain, L.A. Noire, RDR, etc. .... movie games are beyond redundant. :o
...these #s wouldn't account for this past week, which is the single biggest holiday sales week of the entire year. They could have easily sold 1 million units this week ALONE.
1.) We all know you're one of the most pathetic Sony fanboys on all of N4G, so there's no reason to act like you really care.
2.) If it were from VGchartz you wouldn't trust the #s either...or any other source, for that matter...unless they were extremely low. If VGchartz, MS, Kaz Hirai or GOD announced the #s were only in the 100k's, you'd "trust them" in a heartbeat. FACT.
"No thanks, I'll continue to just watch shows online for free. Why pay for censored media when you can watch uncensored shows from other countries online. ;) "
"What is cable?
I've been torrenting for 9years lol.
PC -> HDTV with HDMI = no cable or satellite bill for 9 years. That's some good savings ;)"
"screw that, ill just use hulu plus or netflix. "
For those millions of people who ...
I was really hoping Activision brought in Bungie to make a football game, to compete directly with EA/Tiburon. Boooooo! /s (and yes, I already knew it was fake)
As the 5-year dev cycle for GT5 wore on, Sony/GT fanboys continued to defend it, saying "It's OK, because the extra time = guaranteed perfection".
Now, even Yamauchi himself concedes that mistakes were made, as GT5 launches in near beta form. Obviously the game is far from perfection...yet it's OK, because it's Polyphony Digital. Any other racing franchise...or any franchise period... that sees releases of good-great quality games every 1-3 years (i.e...
