also it doesn't have to be a "ready up" system, or even have the host decide when to start. Setting up custom map lists before starting up works very well IMO. nothing worse than letting the idiots in the room vote which map...

since its twisted metal I would imagine theres plenty of match settings to mess with, weapon pickups, max players etc.

The processor was removed and overall performance was downgraded for mass production. I think kinect would totally be worth an increased price to put the dedicated processor in the box, but there is no way in hell that they would release a peripheral at the same price as one of their consoles models.
The size of the kinect casing was probably designed for the original specs but then they kept it the same just because it looks less like a web-cam with multiple eyes.

There are numerous RPG elements about this game that are addicting outside of the actual racing mechanics. But its not just RPG "elements". You are role-playing a real driver, money, training, licenses and all. The only difference is that instead of using made up stats and gear, everything is taken from reality.
