This is the sort of mindset MS have been trying to instill in to people with gamepass for years, ew I don't wanna buy a game, I want it on my practically for free sub service!

Unfortunately for Jim, he doesn't have the endless mountain of windows/365 money that would cover bleeding money by putting 100-200 million budget games on a sub service day 1.

Sony have been in the industry longer, and with considerably more success, they didn't get this far by 'copying' Microsoft lmao, what a load of utter rubbish.

You're right, guess I was jumping to conclusions.

Just hope Jim and Herman don't forget it's the excellent array of SP games that's brought them huge success since 2010 onwards, and don't focus too much on MP/live service type games.

I forgot you could play in 60fps on PS4, with the lighting fast load times, better resolution and overall better visuals, as someone who played both, the PS5 version is night and day.

As someone who played the PS5 version (review/guide code) and then the PS4 version, the difference is significant, especially if you play in performance mode, think it's just fanboys wanting to believe games can just scale and provide the same experience on significantly weaker hardware.

48 is... a lot, and I like MK8, but I really wanted to finally ase an MK9 announcement.

"First, some commentators have asked whether we will continue to make popular content like Activision’s Call of Duty available on competing platforms like Sony’s PlayStation. The obvious concern is that Microsoft could make this title available exclusively on the Xbox console, undermining opportunities for Sony PlayStation users.

To be clear, Microsoft will continue to make Call of Duty and other popular Activision Blizzard titles available on PlayStation through the t...

I am in the process of upgrading my PC indeed, what MS have and are doing has accelerated my plan to do so, I'm arguiing over the principal of it and Phil's hypocrisy and usual PR spinning.

Yes, lets compare a single studio, insomniac, that primarly made PS exclusives and PS owned IPs throughout the last 20+ years, to bethesda, a decades old multiplatform publisher, with many multipatform historic franchises, did you even read what you typed? It's not an accurate comparison in any way, shape or form.

@alb

They are literally excluding games from the biggest gaming brand in the world that were coming to all platforms anyway, Sony are allowing bungie to continue to be a multiplatform developer going forward even though they now own them.

Guarantee you wouldn't be singing the same tune if Sony had someone bought the other 2 in some alternate reality, MS are not some saviour of bethesda and activision, they could have had all those games on gamepass if...

The usual suspects will soon tell you that sales don't matter, only "MUA", bullets fired, miles driven etc.

I agree though, easy to shout from the hills about most players ever when you basically give every game away and kne of them is F2P. Lol.

I also think it makes MS look quite bad that Sony are letting Bungie have free reign of where they want to put games, yet MS have come out and said Bethesda's games that were in development for years already, and historically multplatform franchises will be exclusives, not surprised to see Phil come out with a spin after that news. Once Call of Duty and Overwatch as well drop playstation, who's anticonsumer then? Guess it won't matter, all Phil has to do is utter "Gamepass&qu...

Don't need to cut the power to make great games in fairness, but for primarily a handheld I can't really knock it, it's a good system and I've enjoyed my fair share of games on it.

I still can't help but think what Nintendo could do with beefy hardware though.

Demanding execs, poor management, whiny shareholders, it's unfortunate and really shouldn't be as much of a thing.

This is just creating an issue where there is none.

White people can't learn martial arts? Or create a game based on it? Honestly this is ridiculous, I dont care what race or gender you are, make a good game and everyone is happy.

Another generic, drab, live service game from Ubi, nothing to see here.

I used to enjoy your comments but you seem to have become a massive Microsoft shill recently.

MS didn't save the day, this PR disaster just timed conveniently for them, you are giving them way too much credit, this isn't good for thr industry as a whole at all.

1611d ago 26 agree3 disagreeView comment

Agreed, but try telling this to the fanboys that just see it as 'one upping' Sony, all MS have to do is mention gamepass and it's hypnotic, the bigger picture is gone.

MS want an all digital, all streaming, console-less future, where they control everything and consumers own nothing.

They can't beat Sony and Nintendo on the games front themselves, rather than using 70 billion to create or nature studios or new IPs, they just buy everythin...
