No I'm judging it by that video and it looks like the same stuff we've been playing for the past 10+ years. Plenty of games before have let you customize the way you play, but it's still the same old boring small arena tdm gameplay that doesn't last a week on my hd. Was hoping for something truly "next gen" from both these games, but they seem to like playing it safe.
Both these series need a big shot of something we call "innovation". Looks like standard tdm stuff to me which we've had for as long as I remember.

Should be killzone vs CoD since they're both tight linear shooters. SOOO much more going on in BF4 you can't even compare.

ahh yes, how could I forget about the 8 hour tour-de-force that is crouching simulator 2k13. Guess I'm the rare breed that prefers innovation and gameplay........
Might want to reach down a bit further since we already know it's coming to pc.
Civ, Starcraft 1&2, Guild Wars 1&2, Arma, Starbound, WoW, etc etc the other 10,000+ exclusives would disagree.
Guess you're not planning on playing online or buying games then. Once you factor in the REAL cost PCs are cheaper in the long run.
I've been playing in at least 1600x1200 for as long as I remember. Well before 1080p ever came out.
Exactly what I thought of it when I played.
My pc was cheaper than consoles, never had to upgrade it last gen, community is miles ahead, never had one problem unlike my 360/ps3 friends, and I enjoyed much more than just a resolution bump. Oh and since these new consoles are so weak I only have to spend about $250 to upgrade it for this gen.
Optimization is just a nice way of saying "cutting". Take the witcher 2s "optimizations" that they just revealed a week or 2 ago. It was nothing more than cutting everything in half.
They can't even run CoD at pc settings so of course bf4 is going to have to be scaled way down.

Can't think of one off the top of my head, and no not last of us I about fell asleep watching my buddy play that game....
Hopefully someday the consoles will make a game I want on pc. I'm already drowning in shooters and third person games though :/
