I believe Ni No Kuni is Q2 2012, so between April-June, I believe. Don't quote me on that. Although May would be a great month for that game.
1. Freedom: This is more than just non-linearity. Give us the freedom to design our party how we want. FFX and FFXII were steps in the right direction. The Crystarium is not non-linear. Fix it.
2. Battle system: While FFXIII and FFXIII-2's battle system is great, it's not perfect. More immersion would be welcome, as in fighting enemies on the same screen you explore in. Fix it.
3. Story: I liked the story in XIII a lot, but it's a far cry from nea...
Getting the Mirror's Edge Platinum is one of my proudest moments. So much frustration, but when that trophy finally popped, it's one of the greatest feelings in the world!
I wanna eat a chocobo. I just KNOW they taste like chicken!
None of that has any effect on the actual GAMEPLAY. The game is essentially U2 redux, which is not the kind of jump people were hoping for. Still a great game, just more of the same.
Wow, there is NO way Dead Space is scarier than Silent Hill. Silent Hill exudes atmosphere and a claustrophobic environment. It's what may not be around the corner that's scary, not kindergarten jump scares. Love Dead Space, but you'd have to be blind and deaf to believe it's scarier than Silent Hill.
And Silent Hill 2 is the scariest game I've ever played.
No, not if done right. You need lore and atmosphere to back it up. Fallout 3 did this perfectly. I got lost in that wasteland for hours. As long as it has atmosphere and substance to it, it can be interesting.
RE4 is the best in the series. It may not be the scariest in the series, but it's the one installment that did EVERYTHING right. The pacing, locations, controls, story, everything was pretty much perfect. I'd vote RE3 a close second because being chased by Nemesis is fucking SCARY!
I really hope we see this on PS3. Looks fantastic.
Old King Doran is easy if you cheese him and use his A.I. and aggro limit to backstab him constantly.
I love most RPGs, and having never played the .hack series, I'm excited, but I hope I'm not hopelessly lost.
X game can be better than Y game even if Y game received a better score. The score of a game is not the end-all be-all for a game, the actual REVIEW counts for something.
Final Fantasy VIII has the greatest soundtrack of all time, tied with Chrono Cross.
Soundtracks that range from Demon's Souls to Skyrim to Assassin's Creed to Mass Effect 2. Videogame soundtracks are amazing, and are one of the major things that make or break a game for me.
Killzone is probably the most overrated Sony franchise. I mean, KZ3 was okay, but the series is marred by a terrible story, characters not worth caring for, and just overall generic campaigns.
Killzone is confirmed for PS2 Classics. I'd rather have Okami HD. We need RPGs on PS2 Classics, such as Rogue Galaxy, Dark Cloud 1 & 2, Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, etc.
Homefront: Kim Jong-il is Now Actually Dead! Edition.
It pains me to say it, but Final Fantasy and Square Enix are pretty much dead. What's so sad is you would have to be a moron to not give the fans what they want. Kingdom Hearts HD Collection, Kingdom Hearts III, FFVII remake, not taking 6 years to make an FF game, Parasite Eve on consoles, etc. Oh yeah, your name is Yoichi Wada; you're worse than a moron.
There are other RPG series and companies that do it much better and more frequently. tri-Ace, Bethesda, etc.
At least you recognize it's MY opinion. Everyone can disagree if they want, because that's THEIR opinion. I hate when people automatically assume that anything you say on here is fact by all. Good to see someone with some brains. Thank you.
In my opinion, this game doesn't hold up today. I played the HD version last year and it just felt boring by today's standards. In 2006, it was a classic; nowadays, it's just not up to par.
Oh, and Ico is one of the worst games ever made *flame shield up*.
Gametrailers said the campaign is over 100 hours. I loved the demo, so consider me good. I can get lost in this game.
