while storage limitations will limit game length, it has nothing to do with how good a game will look. look at PC games that ship on DVDs, they manage to outstrip the consoles time and time again. also, you can have 1080p video on DVDs... just not very much of it. plus, the bandwidth is also a limiting factor.
let the over-hype begin... its to be expect with EVERY halo game that has come to pass and will come to pass... if it's halo, expect microsoft to spare no expense in marketing and hype to skyrocket it. why? because it's all they have. don't bother listing "exclusive 360 titles"... everyone knows that xbox = halo. even my grandma knows that.
having ranted... author is stupid. afaik, the halo franchise has never won GOTY... the exceptions being Halo 3 getting Time Ma...

while they are the exception, they are not the norm. i know... i have two friends who play WoW and they are, well, your typical basement dwelling south park "leroy jenkins" type. that said, my co-worker plays wow, and well, she's kinda hot, so like i said, exceptions to the rule.
achievements and trophies are a form of virtual masturbation... no one else but you benefits from it. it does add longevity to your purchase including solid replayability to some games you wouldn't even think twice about.
on the subject still, the levels on the PS3 trophy system needs some kind of home-type integration. achievements are great in their own respects, but there's something about a platinum trophy (which i have yet to get even one- so close though!!!) that makes ...
i would agree with that hypothesis... i have only seen a handful (1 or 2 at most) of available units in target or walmart, whereas the wii and xbox case is generally full, the wii especially... best buy generally has a few more, in the 250GB flavor. but personal antidotes don't tell the whole picture though.
according to kotaku the faceplate maybe, but the HDD is not. kind of a lame deal IMO.

apparently the 250GB HDD is Final Fantasy XIII branded and you also get a faceplate featuring lightning...
