Tlou 1 was truly impressive. Hope they can pull the same impressive feat with a new ip

Absolutely. Nobody ever disagreed that technically tlou2 was impressive.

Whoa there...this is Neil druckman....he's a genius!

He figured he can get paid for an entire generation without releasing a single new IP or follow-up sequel/prequel. I'm sure he'll be replaced soon after their new game. I gotta say that naughty dog has clearly changed since he took over...they seem entirely self absorbed because of previous leadership success.

To be clear it's a new IP from Neil druckman. It's the first IP where he will be completely in control.

The way some people talk about him he is basically the heart and soul of naughty dog since the beginning so it better be a banger.

I can imagine it...he'd probably say "don't try this at home"

So it didnt sell and it also isn't critically well received...negatives of both worlds.

Yes it can save them from obvious mistakes...only time will tell if they learn.

If only some industries took responsibility for what they do this may not have happened.

For what it's worth. Great work on the game.

I was hoping for state of decay 3 next year but yeah...avowed, doom and fable in there could be potentially huge.

Doom for sure...avowed I'm mostly certain but fable not sure

It's based on meta score so while you may be right it was also much harder to reach high scores back then. Nowadays games get 9 and 10s all over the place

It's harder to control with modern tech being in the house. Same applies to eating habits mind you. So easy to just give them "snacks" all the time.
Easy to hand the kid a phone or tablet or the TV for hours on end if it means you get some peace. Parenting isn't easy and you literally have to be violent towards yourself in order to actually "parent".

Not to mention every kid is different. Some are easier to handle.

He doesn't have to. The devs are holding it all to themselves

Yes you in fact CAN have an opinion without trying something.

You don't eat your own poop but I gather you've never tried it so don't say it tastes bad until you do...that's how your logic works.

And remnant 2 had 38,000+ player reviews...what is your point?

579d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

Yeah. Shadow of Mordor was great. I wasn't able to actually get into shadow of war....just felt like a different animal that I didn't particularly enjoy as much. I do hope they give it another go

Not true. Tha majority of gamers don't visit these sites. They don't engage in these conversations and therefore make their own opinions...which sales indicate what that opinion is.

In the case of veilgaurd...it seems like the broad opinion is indifference.

Well...we have the issue of access journalism rearing its ugly head so that means many outlets will be more generous.

580d ago 4 agree2 disagreeView comment

Maybe not paid but definitely misleading. It's not a return to form when it's no longer anything like dragon age origins.

580d ago 7 agree4 disagreeView comment

This is my gripe with these sites. You're supposed to be critical of games not politics. They spend more time writing about their views instead of the game itself.

582d ago 14 agree1 disagreeView comment

Gaming journalism needs a new model. It's already present in the independents on YouTube. I prefer that over the politically charged and backed "gaming" sites
