There's always problems with using such technology in real time-game world, and its mostly to do with inefficient lack of power in modern consumer based hardware.
It took super computers to get "Avatar" graphics looking real and it was all CGI. Alooooong! way to go from that happening in real time.

Well CoD has preety much been what it is..next gen we will get an updated engine but it will remain the same style of game just as Battlefield is and always will be the same. CoD 4.1 an BF3.1. Don't expect anything to change from current gen other than more updated graphics.
PS4 GPU power is more akin to GTX 660 with 1.8TFlops . However PS4 will certainy overpower it.

optimization will allow 1080p and 60fps. I have HD7850 which PS4 is slightly more powerful but HD7850 can do BF3 at 1080p 60fps. So i think B4 running at 1080p 60fps wont be hard.
