They could be doing both Kratos and a new mythology. At the end of GOW3 (spoiler) where Kratos impales himself with the Blade of Olympus and then disappears with a blood trail leading to the cliff edge (making you think he fell over), it could have opened a portal (it is a magical blade just roll with it lol) at the cliff edge in which Kratos dragged himself over to. Once through Kratos came out into Asgard, Heimdall then sees him and makes fun of his skirt and the new trilogy begins...

Undead Nightmare is always a blast to play through, remember saving it for halloween the year it came out (think it actually came out in the same month if memory serves correct). Running away from hordes and occasionally turning around to swing the torch.

Completely agree, there is countless examples of male characters in games that have exaggerated masculine qualities that can and do appeal to women. Such as Chris Redfield with the huge guns he's packing (and I'm not talking about the ones that need reloading), Dante with his shirt off (that doesn't serve a practical purpose, only for flair like Bayonetta) or insanely-ripped Kratos in a skirt and not much else.
