After the lastest patch I now like this game. I only ever played SOCOM on the PSP and I am a die hard Call of Duty 3,4 player. Online seems issue free now. Getting the hang of the whole 3rd person perspective. Got me some sweet ACOG head shots. The maps a really cool and the game overall is a nice change of pace from the usual COD madness. The BT headset it the deal maker as it's sooo much better than my Motorola H500.
I now like this game. Was playing last night and seem to be getting the hang of the whole 3rd person thing. Still gonna hang in the newb rooms for a while though. But last night I was pwning my fellow newbs and learning the maps. THEY ARE HUGE! I like that.

I don't drink that anti-Treyarch koolaid. COD3 is fun. They did mess up the ranked portion. And noone ever played the mappacks that came out for it. I own them all. I still play it every night on the 360 (player matches) The people that still play this game are cool as hell. I've never used my mic as much as I do with this game. Not alot of attitude like COD4. I wish SONY gave you the option of using L1 for ADS (scope zoom in). And what's with the optics taking up the whole screen? Makes the AIMPOINT, EOTECH and ACOG useless. In real life the ACOG and obviously the other two use the BIDON aiming method (both eyes open) so you should still be able to see around the optics. This is annoying. I've gone back to COD3 on the 360 lately with SOCOM sitting here (weaksauce of a game cause it's a SUPERCAMPFEST and buggy and hell). That's what tactical is supposed to be? Just camp away and snipe? I'm having a blast playing COD3 right now on the 360. I just hope they still have 1 shot kill KAR98 in the game. I'm pretty sure I'm getting it for the 360 instead of the PS3 though. Seems like more people will get it for the 360 thus longer online lifespan.

Lag is so bad. I wish you could change aim down sight to one of the triggers. When you do the view is messed up. Prone looks like kneeling and kneeling looks like standing through scope. May sell it and just keep the mic (best paert of the game)
What the hell. The blutooth that comes with it was a selling point for me. Very nice and way better with the PS3 than my Motorola H500. Played it last night. Seems like fun and that city map was pretty cool looking. Still a COD fan but this is a nice change of pace and better than MGO except (TPS) The FPS aim down sight kinda sucks though. With a real acog or red dot you aim with both eyes open and should not take up whole screen and not be able to move.
I don't need another lame 3rd tactical person shooter that I will never play. A broken fanboy game. I already have MGO to collect dust. I'd rather play COD3 and COD4 for now and wait for COD WAW, Killzone 2.
COD4 is the best so far in the series. Most fun hands down for MP FPS twich gamers.
I can listen to AOL radio since my work blocks streaming media and we get no reception on radios in here. I'm using mine right now to browse for a CA legal AR-15 on the company dime. Can't wait to go target shooting up in my local canyon gun range and become good at the shooting the real thing. COD4 FTW!!!
I still can't find anything worth spending my $100.00 NFL shop gift cert on from when I purchased my Samsung LCD. I guesss I can pick up collectors edition.
My local mom and pop video store now carries Blurays of all latest releases. $2 a rental and 1.50 for DVD. I'm set with that. No need to keep the movie more than 1 day.

Had really bad framerate issues. Even in single player the framerates were so bad. I should have gotten the 360 version. This should be across the board for any EA game. The 360 version will always be better. To think I did not learn and picked up BF bad company for the PS3 and regret it. Mic issues online.

Don't do it. The hard covers will scratch the top portion of the crome to hell. The soft ones will too. I put one on my new 1st gen. Yes it protected but the coating on glass on the camera lens and the top chrome is all scratched up now.
I should have picked up the 360 verion. I can never hear anyone talking, lame since this is supposed to require teamwork. Anf where is conquest! I knew not to trust EA and fell for it again. Not anymore. The sp is fun no freeze here.
I bet most of these kids crying it's a flop don't even own a PS3 or have played the game isnce the update Wed night. Noone cares if you traded it in or will not purchase the game. Just like no one cares if you think TRyarch and COD3 and WAW on the 360 sucks. I COD3 all the time on my 360 and it's still funs 2 years later. Try playing some games once in awhile instead of hanging out on NG4 so much ready to pounce with your fanboy drival.
