Only $50 more than a wii and same price as a comparatively priced 360.
The reason the $199 360 didn't ignite sells is because gamers know it is a gimped piece and now with the Elite being only $100 more I can see MS getting most of its sells from the Elite.
Unlike the cheap Arcade though, the cheap PS3 is a better value for the price than even the Elite. Gamers know this, consumers may, and that is why the PS3 slim will do well.
Does a $399 PS3 make a 16 gig iTouch look like a poor value? Do desktops make laptops look like a poor value? They are two different types of devices, but I wouldn't expect any less from journalism with Sony.
Every company is pricing their stuff higher in the UK/Europe, not just Sony.
What you need to consider is their economy is very different though. Different taxes, different everything. You have to understand economics to realize it's not a huge ripoff as it would seem. Everything's priced higher there even gas.
PS2 had plastic buttons, 360 had plastic buttons, every system aside from the PS3 has had plastic buttons. What you think the 360 isn't cheap because they put a silver chrome paint on it? The 360 buttons are just as cheap, so are the PS2's. What did we learn here? Plastic is plastic!!!
And it's not bad looking it just takes some time to get used to. If that's all you have to complain about, the PS3 must be on your wishlist.
I Just thought it was ugly because the screens were bad. With crystal clear shots it looks pretty decent. Not spectacular but I don't find any system out now to be great looking.
If they don't sell in certain parts of Europe, it's their fault for being in last place. If they do sell all over Europe, they would include those figures and it's utterly ridiculous to believe that they would not. It would be like Sony counting the U.S. but leaving out Michigan and New York.
*drools*!!! I know this game will look great. Look at the huge improvement between TOD and Q4B. Look at the huge improvement between R: FOM and Resistance 2.
A rewind feature isn't my idea of how a "SIMULATOR" should be made. As far as GT5 goes, I want the return of Vector Aeromotive as well as more Cadillacs like the Sixteen Concept and CTS-V.
I'll wait till January and get Mag which looks much better and no I'm not talking about the huge battles, I'm talking about gameplay.
Is the exact same as every current PSP Neo Nugget.
As far as I'm concerned GT5 is already better than Forza 3 even from the little bit we know. Night/Day driving, weather, WRC, Nascar. Forza doesn't have any of that.
Don't know that ND has been around before PS1. They made games on Sega Genesis and they were formed in 1986.
It's all preference and some will simply like MGS over SC and vice versa.
Personally I have never ever liked Splinter Cell. I remember all of the hype over the first one and when I played it, I just couldn't get into it. I was never really a huge fan of MGS either, but I do like it over SC.
They're killing the rythym genre. With so much games coming out milking Rockband/Guitarhero people are just going to stop caring after awhile.
You can't sustain popularity with tons of games every year, they're doing the same thing over again and again with a different wrapper.
Atleast the PS3 had one decent game. That can't be said about the PS2 or 360 launch.
To all of you saying nothing is going to happen... Sony always announces stuff at the Europe shows and they did last year at Leipzig. They announce stuff at every event.
FYI, they only had shortly over an hour at E3 and look at all they announced there. I'm not saying we'll see anything huge, but there will be some new stuff.
Cambridge helped them out with the game though and it says so in the HS manual. Since HS is owned by Sony they could have anyone make a sequel if they wanted to.
Sucker Punch is based in Bellevue Washington.
Dropping it that much would probably have a negative effect on them. It just doesn't look good when you drop something an extreme amount of money, people start getting worried about buying the product.
