False hope and/or confusion?
^ Yeah, remember when everyone was disappointed before last year's when Jaffe said he wasn't going to be there and Twisted Metal wasn't in development?
With games like Killzone 3 and MAG, there isn't much excuse for Battlefield 3 to be inferior. Obviously the PC version will have higher graphics but the consoles can hold a high level of graphics, support large amounts of players, and there is no excuse for it to be gimped other than graphics.
If I were Sony I'd refuse to let them be apart of the PSN Store if that were the case. Unfortunately they lost money, so did Sony, but if they want to take action they can just stay off for good.
It's another source of revenue they didn't have before the PS3/PSP so they should be happy it's there at all!
Doesn't say it has to be an open world game in the title and it's just describing open world games in the description, there's no where that it says it's exclusive to open world.
You're forgetting that Sony has new hardware as well....
Just discouraged me from actually doing this deal. I'll wait till after E3 or later this year.
Why not? It's a good game that will make their conference better. Just because it's not secret does not mean it's not worthy of discussing.
That's what they said last year too but they didn't. Who says Sony isn't keeping their cards close to their chest anyway?
I don't get the mindset that if something is known or not before E3 that it makes a presentation not as good. If you have more stuff to show, you have a better conference regardless of if it's known.
If people have already bought the games and don't want to buy them again, they don't have to. Many PS3 owners haven't played these though and it would be a great way of allowing them to.
Also current PSP games look acceptable on a tiny 4 inch screen but on an HDTV it would look like total @$$.
Let me get this straight... The NGP sucks because it will be able to play PS3 games but the 3DS, with its many ports of N64 games, somehow isn't effected?
Well I think the PSP will beat it, but the 3DS is not a failure by any means.
However, his statement is not unlike all of the Nintendo fanboys who call the PSP a failure because it hasn't beat the DS.
They are hyped over their yearly Madden's so who knows...?
But not a problem with Nintendo? GBA, DS, 3DS all have ports. Heck the major killer app for the DS when it launched was a console port from the N64....
They have, it's a teaser trailer in the end of the Sly Collection.
Socom 4 wouldn't have sold any better if they made it Socom 2 HD, get over it. Anyway, everyone is knocking it for poor ratings but the Socom franchise has never had good ratings in the first place. The first Socoms on Meta are in the low to mid 80s.
And when phones are that powerful the PS5 and PC will be capable of 100xs the graphics of a PS3. Not to mention most gamers don't want to play on a crappy tiny screen that can't be played with another person.
That's absolutely retarded... You ever hear of Heavenly Sword, it was unfairly bashed for a short campaign and COD/Socom all I ever hear is people saying no one plays it for the campaign.
Call of Duty will probably have a shorter campaign like MW2's did.
They allowed Sony to announce it at E3 though, what about that??
