PS1 didn't have a stellar launch it was ok, PS2's launch sucked, PS3 was ok, PSP was decent, Vita had their best launch so far imo. Not hard to do but I do expect this to blow them all away so far. KZ being a launch title is amazing. I hope Planetside 2 is a launch title too, I don't see why it wouldn't be.

In order to dominate, I'd say that it would have to beat its competitors by a lot... It didn't do much better than the 3DS or PS3.
Dude the move controls were better! Especially for walking around. I would have liked more DLC but the game was fine as is.
And it'll probably beat out all of your games this year.
I have to say Uncharted 3. They fine tuned the gameplay and the set pieces were pretty close to as cool as Uncharted 2's. The thing that really made Uncharted 2 not as cool for me was the twist in the story. Anyone who had played Drake's Fortune could have seen it from a mile because it was exactly the same as in the first game.
They add and omit sites on a game by game basis. On a specific game they have site x and not site y but on a completely different game they have site y and not site x. Then on some they don't include those sites entirely. There are tons of sites that gave Uncharted 3 a 10/10 yet aren't on Metacritic.
It doesn't take into account every site(Xplay isn't on there anymore, being a bigger one) so it is a poor way to judge it.

Plus is way better than Gold, Gold is not a great service at all and I've felt that way since the original Xbox.

Who cares about operating costs? If you actually knew your history you would know Sony lost money on all of their consoles it's just the PS3 lost money longer.
In terms of games I'd say it darn well nearly has matched the PS1/PS2 and the games aren't stopping anytime soon. And that is why it has won many gamers over, the GAMES.
As far as the newer versions of the PS3. Yeah it'd be cool if it still had those extra features but most of them aren...
Socom 2 would need a lot of work to be remastered. Just a higher resolution wouldn't do as it would still look like crap. They need to update character models, improve geometry, redo textures, and anti-aliasing at the very least. They might as well redo it on the Socom 4 engine(if it's a PS3 game) with the same old gameplay.
But Socom fans will complain no matter what. It doesn't matter if it's a perfect remake of S2, they'll whine just like they always d...
Dude GT3 was the biggest let down of all. It didn't compare to GT2 in content or gameplay, it just had pretty graphics. GT5 on the other hand was everything GT4 had to offer and more. It had the most content of all of the GTs. That is until GT6 comes out.
@Logic - If the PS3 still sells near that much on a yearly basis at the price it is at now, I don't see it being so far fetched that the PS4 won't.
I expect a PS3 price cut this year so it won't always be $300. In the US you can get a 500gb with a game for $300 and the latest 250gb bundle will be $250. I wouldn't be surprised if that drops by $100.
Pfft the original Xbox had nothing on the Dreamcast and I'm not even talking about the other systems.
Me too and Battlefield can't compare to Planetside 2. I hope that comes to PS4 for launch!
