Avatarshoe, I think you got flagged for trolling because you were trolling.

I think this game looked really good when I saw an E3 video of it. The video maker said it looked really smooth and the combat was fluid and fun. Oh, well. I guess now the only think I hope for is for the game to not sell as well as expected so that Konami works harder on making a better game next time. Hopefully one day all released games will meet certain standards.

Do you know how many games on PS3 actually get dedicated servers?

5706d ago 0 agree3 disagreeView comment

6/10 above average? The standards have fallen very far if 6/10 is above average.

7.5/10 is above average.

I disagree. Had the game been exclusive to PC I think Remedy could have done much more with it.

I don't like how consoles force their limitations upon games. Neither the 360 nor the PS3 are as powerful as many developers would like. 512 megs of RAM is hurting games.

I can name many examples of even the most graphically appealing games that are hampered down by RAM limitations.

I dislike how the first 4 or 5 commenters have absolutely nothing of value to add to the discussion, yet for whatever reason they have received multiple agrees.

On-topic, it is a shame that Alan Wake did not perform well commercially, but as a gamer I am more disappointed in the game itself.

The sales don't mean shit to me. What does bother me is certain aspects of the game were annoying and repetitive. I thought the combat mechanics could be fleshe...

PSP is great. I just wish there was a fully-fledged analog stick that I could attach and detach after play. Like a slot for the analog stick. Why didn't Sony think of that?

The first Crackdown was a fun game. This sequel is the same thing with little to no improvements. It deserves low scores, not because it sucks, but because it's the same fucking game.

Halo Reach
Crysis 2
COD Black Ops

2 of those games can also be played on PS3, but Microsoft believes that advertising them as exclusives or paying for timed exclusive map packs justified their claim that they are catering to the hardcore, even though Sony is also catering to the hardcore.

MS NEEDS MORE STUDIOS

How often does Sony get the better version of a timed exclusive?

Didn't Star Ocean on PS3 suck worse than on 360?
Wasn't Bioshock on PS3 graphically inferior to the 360 version?
The Last Remnant?
Infinite Undiscovery?
Section 8?

What makes you think that Sony will get a better version 3 months down the line?

How have they thrown in the towel for 2010?

Mass Effect 2
Alan Wake
Crackdown 2
Halo Reach

That's not throwing in the towel. That's just the best Microsoft can do considering they have like 3 studios.

Microsoft isn't even trying. If they were trying they would have acquired more first party studios, they would have developed a unified game engine for the 360 to be used by more developers. They would h...

Often I wonder why iD won't make the game run at 30 frames per second and use the remaining CPU power to add destructibility or more chaotic environments. Oh well, I'll still be getting this because I think it will be fantastic.

I'm in-between. I love the art style and the combat is really nice, but I wasn't careful enough with the game and had to play through the first level maybe 15 times before I beat it. To me the game became a chore. I regret not being more careful.

Hard to tell. It must be real since it's a Porsche and GT doesn't have Porsche, but then again it also looks a little CGI'd.

And your idea of research is wikipedia?

Viva Pinata is a good game. But there is no excuse for Ninja Blade.

5706d ago 3 agree2 disagreeView comment

It's Microsoft's fault that it sold purely. They didn't advertise it very much and they released it around the same time as Red Dead Redemption. In contrast, Sony made sure to release Heavy Rain during a relatively quiet time, and they advertised well and publicized it with review sites.

My theory is that Remedy wants to make Alan Wake 2 multiplatform or wants to release the PC version of the game, and MS is spiting them.

I used to think that it meant there are two reviewers, one who gave it a D and another who gave it an A+. It always pissed me off that the second reviewer gave every game an A+.

Ridiculed it? No.

in-game advertising offsets development cost.

This is the worst thing about Halo 3. Team Doubles got locked out for me because I haven't purchased the new map pack. And I heard the new maps are gay, so I'd rather invest my money in something else.
