Dragon Age was developed by Bioware.
Bethesda's games don't look impressive (except with mods) yet they boast large maps with tons of content so the trade-off is acceptable.
Other companies always use other games as benchmarks because they copy successful games. Call of Duty is used as a benchmark for other shooters.
The media reception of Uncharted 2 was overwhelmingly positive, that's why other developers will use Uncharted 2 as a model for a great game.
But if someone believes that Uncharted 2 is overrated, you can't objectively invalidate their belief. If they played the game and didn't think it deserved 100+ ...
Wouldn't that be precisely why it is overrated? Not that I think it's overrated but saying, "Hey, it's not overrated, just look at the score" is circular reasoning.
Johnny Mnemonic had some great ideas.
If you don't have a 360, then don't post in 360-related threads, ever.
So then why didn't they just buy the PS3 and then wait for GT5 and in the mean time purchase other games like Uncharted 2?
I know a lot of people on this site who say they purchased a PS3 for GT5 years ago, or for FF13.
The point is that people hate them even if they make awesome games.
Although I don't hate them at all and am not at all fond of people who even dislike them. Valve has done a lot to earn respect and praise from the gaming community as whole and I don't recall anything they've done that deserves hate.
I'm honest. If I were a businessman, I would go for the quick buck. The market changes drastically in a ten year span. Who knows what fancy new thing comes out that captures people's attention. I'm glad Sony is successful, but I understand why other companies think the ten year plan is impractical.
Really? I know the game isn't all that great, but are you seriously implying that Modern Warfare 2 isn't popular anymore? There's more player playing MW2 every day than the three next popular games' combined weekly play numbers.
edit: playing halo 3 a couple hours ago
I think it's gonna be awesome, but I am confident that as soon as it comes out people will be disappointed with it. Simply because it's being overhyped by its fans, yet again. I was just playing it a couple of hours ago at a friends house. I think it's excellent but I don't hype the graphics or the "epicness" of it. I expect it to be as good as it can be considering it's on a 5 year old console. And I expect to be annoyed by all the Killzone fans bashing it ...

You bought a console to play games or brag about sales? One of the dumbest things I've ever read on this site.
Oh wow, you got 5 agrees for calling another language gibberish.
It's lame if that's true. A lot of people are going to buy a PS3 and just get Gran Turismo 5? How will Sony benefit from these consumers if they only have one game for the console?
This article is a month late. We've had plenty of people telling us that Kinect failed at E3. We don't need another article.
You're buying your daughter garbage. You're terrible.
Games are the only reason to buuuuuyy a wiiiiii, though. Would you buuuuuy a wiiiii because of its shaaaaaape?
Based on how some of these games are designed, I would skip them too. I'm referring to the multiplatform games, though. I wouldn't played Assassin's Creed 1 on PS3 because a lot of the game is designed around flag-collection and jumping off towers and doing a lot of repetitive things just so you can earn an achievement for it. So, on PS3, if it doesn't have trophy support (that's what I've heard) the game is just really boring and repetitive without any reward.
I think ES5, if there is one, will still run on the Gamebryo engine, updated of course.
