It's gonna be similar to ps3 which is a shame I really wish they'd at least redo the cg cutscenes for hd tv's
@ sampsonon you're totally right that VR is an experience unlike anything else. But the tech is still in it's infancy and because of that it would be a waste to put AAA studios who deliver grade A traditional game experiences like naughty dog and guerilla to make what would essentially be experimental software.
With that being said Resident evil vii was built to be experienced in both and I would like to see more games do this.
Not a good damn thing.
@Concertoine you are correct I'm sure Nintendo sees the value in doing something different from other things it has. But I don't believe rider is trying to diminish the value of a game like Metroid prime 4 but rather that Metroid prime 4 wouldn't be considered a silver bullet simply because, despite being a favorite of core gamers, metroid doesn't really light the sales charts on fire. With that being said I truly believe that mp4 will do much better in sales than previous ent...
I don't think he's saying smash 5 won't happen. Rather I believe he's saying that it's unlikely we will get it so soon after what is likely to be an enhanced port of smash for Wii u and that if you think about the amount of time the next game is likely to spend in development then they'll probably do the smart thing and save it for the super switch or whatever.
ah I missed that thank you for clearing that up.
I don't feel the idea of a port is unlikely however waiting 5 years for a new crash game after the success of the n sane trilogy is too stupid to be true. 5 years is a millennia in the gaming world and that's more development time than a cod game so you know it's bull
I have a good feeling that ff7 remake, death stranding, and last of us 2 will be among the ps4's final major games in 2019. combine that with another official price drop and I say we still got a ways to go till it peaks
120 dollars a year is the price of 2 new games a year its easily worth it if said person plays more than 2 first party xbox titles a year
Imagine that 30 million people are paying 120 dollars a year. The price of first party game development across all studios is easily recouped if its something everyone is buying into
You're right Nintendo and sony don't have to worry right now.
However, come next gen when Microsoft is actively advertising game pass saying things like "get all of our exclusive games for the price of 2" and when the reports of them doubling down on first party come to fruition that is when all of this will truly be put to the test. And if they keep up their good work on pro-consumer things like backwards compatibility and cross-platform play they're ...
Too many people are worried about people who watch games instead of play them. Don't worry about those people don't try make them pay for content don't block your content from being viewed because those people who only watch games weren't going to buy your game anyway. And in the end you'll only make us suffer
That would be a bad move on both parties
I'm right there with ya the x owner has got the best experience on console and that's great. The issue lies with Microsoft however. If 3rd parties see that more gamers are gravitating towards other less powerful consoles devs might be less inclined to take full advantage of all that extra power.
Yea because Zelda wasn't one of the most technically impressive games in a long time
Not at all. I mean when you consider there's a lot of 3rd party games that can now be played on the go as well as the fact that a lot of the Wii u games just weren't available to a vast majority of gamers it isn't so much a problem rather it becomes a welcome addition. And it's not like Nintendo doesn't have a ton of exclusive new titles on the way. Kirby, Yoshi, project octopath, Pikmin 4, Metroid prime 4, Pokemon, Bayonetta 3 and no more heroes. A lot of these are coming...
Too much of anything can be bad thing. Even if that thing is a good thing. For instance I used to be a chronic masturbator. And sure everyone does it but when you're asking for bathroom breaks in class or stepping away from important family events. Or missing your daughters recital because it's all you can think about then it's time for a change. It's time to get help.
While it was great seeing this cool and neat sort of panelesque presentation. Its disappointing when you compare it to previous psx's sure they said it would be smaller but even then you kinda still hope for one big exciting thing. Especially when we've gotten trailers for 7 remake and last of us 2 at these events
Anyone saying switch needs to do better is ridiculous. Even Sony's first year with PS4 wasn't this damn good. Xbox still hasn't hit levels this great all generation and Nintendo's exclusives are going head to head with games that have wayyy more power at there disposal.
I feel like a good way to combat this would be to separate the game into parts. IE the game throws a few dungeons at you to complete, with each dungeon having its own self contained story once they're complete the overarching plot progresses in the process more dungeons are revealed so on and so forth
