Like most services Sony can refuse to allow you to use them. A bank can refuse your money, a supermarket can refuse to sell you anything. Sony can easily not give you service if you are attempting to fleece them for money. Why do you say that? Is the 3DS's short battery life causing average consumers to stop buying it? Last time I checked I don't see any average consumer complaining. No person complained when they had to buy memory cards for the PS1 or PS2. I didn't see their sales fall because you needed to buy them to play games.
Question. Why does everyone believe that Sony decided to leave out a more powerful battery to make you buy this? Why does everyone assume the worst? By that logic if the 3DS is so cheap then there should have been no problem adding a super battery to extend the battery life or any other device that lasts that long.

Just make it like RE4 with a good story and great characters. That's all I ask. Stop trying to do all sorts of other things. You hit the sweet spot with RE4 so don't twist it around and try to make it 'different'. Oh. Okay. I suppose that makes the can't take the VITA on a long trip argument out of play. Most people only play handhelds for about 1-2 hours at best but if you plan to do it longer I guess this is the answer. This also might be the solution to playing long RPGS like FFX and for people who plan to play online for an extended period. Don't get me wrong I would have preferred the battery to last a bit longer but this will be a nice option.
