Wii Play was actually a decent game, considering that most of the cost of it went towards the extra Wiimote that came with it. If people weren't full of all of this blind hatred junk, they'd realize that some of the games in it were quite fun (while some were absolute awful pieces of trash). It's about half-and-half. That tank minigame is awesome, and fun to play on single player. Air hockey and ping-pong are also great multiplayer games. It's not a bad game for its price.
George Washington: "I'm butthurt that I bought an Xbox 360, and yet bought all of the games that are on the 360 for PC. The few exclusives I do have aren't fun at all. I see those Wii-owners having fun with their consoles. Maybe it'll make me feel better about my purchase if I troll them and trash the Wii. Yeah, I'll do that!"
Awhhh, they're working on something? :( I loved their former thoughts on an external hard drive-type solution. It was a comical "Why invent the elevator when there's perfectly good STAIRS!?" mentality.
All joking aside, I'll be glad if they come up with something. Certainly an external hard drive would be preferred, but that seems ruled out, unfortunately.
It's great how you can say what your favorite third-party title is without even having played it! Or having really seen much about it at ALL!
My favorite third-party title is either Okami (port++) or Geometry Wars: Galaxies (not a port). Those games are amazing.
But yeah, Pikmin 3. Everyone knows that the Wii is perfectly suited for it, and we've heard Miyamato say the same thing dozens and dozens of times. Pikmin had tons of charm, and Pikmin 2 was fairly challengin...
That looks weird as hell. And stupid. And not fun.
It was an update to stop hackers from messing with the Wii. Hooray for journalists who try to come off smart, but don't actually know what they're talking about!
Poster of article doesn't understand the term "killer app"
The footage does look awesome, though. I'm still concerned whether or not the game is going to be challenging, at all. In that vid it looked like all of the enemies were just there for filler, and were easily blown away.
Attention whores.
I think SSBB is pretty hardcore. SMG, however, is the most casual Mario game ever.
Jimmy likes Megaman X series more than the regular Megaman series. Jimmy hopes they do create another Megaman X game, and that it is good (like Megaman X-X5), and available on all consoles! Jimmy respects DarkSniper's point though. Jimmy likes DarkSniper. Jimmy wants to ask DarkSniper out.
Jimmy can jump really high.
(High-five for anyone that gets the reference)
...Why would you go to the gym 5 times a day? That sounds kinda weird... what're the benefits?
What, they aren't playing the Philips CD-i Zelda games!? This is ludicrous!
Zack & Wiki did better than expected, and its sales are still gaining momentum.
Nobody expected Okami to sell lots, but Okami sales could have the same outcome as Zack & Wiki (gaining momentum, I mean).
This is why I love Capcom, though. Great new IPs, and they have faith in all of the systems. Hope they're cooking up something good!
Some pretty lame examples.
Most non-traditional-gamer girls like games like Mario Kart, Mario Party, Harvest Moon, The Sims, Wii Sports, etc.
Mine doesn't like Geometry Wars, or Brawl, or stuff like that.
Not looking so great, but then again, I never thought screenshots were a good way to judge what a game is going to look like. Footage only, bay-bee.
Hahaha, that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, power of green. Obviously you're sincerely doubting the power of brand recognition and brand loyalty, not to mention Nintendo has a headstart on developing this motion technology.
You couldn't really see her face. I guess we'll find out if she's actually good looking or not soon.
One thing's for sure, though. This thing blew way out of proportion. It makes me sad thinking about how popular that video's become, and all of the collective time people have spent watching that video.
I wasn't expecting much, but this article was actually a very hilarious and interesting read, even despite the spelling mistakes I noticed. Awesome.
Clearly, PirateThom, you've never seen the line-up of a winning console, then. PS2, Gameboy (color), and PS all had TONS of shovelware, for example.
On another note, what's up with this "Wii to surpass 360 in America" junk? According to VG Chartz, Wii is, and has been, ahead of the 360 in America for a short while.
Pro-tip: You only swing your arms around and get tired and worked up if you're playing Wii Monkey Simulator. Seriously. I've played Metroid Prime 3 and Geometry Wars: Galaxies for countless hours in a row, and never had tired wrists.
