You like most other people seem to forget that the video game industry is a BUISNESS, they are not making these games for you out of the kindness in their heart.
Of course if you are the alpha console your gonna get shovelware, but you will also get the high budget games too.
No company likes to make a high investment gamble if they dont expect a good return, thats why sales figures matter.
"Console Wars"
"D-Day"
Rally the fanboy armies.
Real War Vs. Console War.
"you all got to know they downgraded other things like all types of gaming physics, lighting and even certain gameplay elements and parts of the story to make things fit on DVD9. It's sad. "
How can you be an idiot and have so many bubbles?
What does DVD9 have to do with physics and lighting? (unless they are texture baking the lighting).
Physics is based off of formulas, same as realtime lighting. So if anything it would be a computational problem, not ...
Yeah, Macs kind of remind me of those toy car tracks I used to play with when i was a kid, the cars dont crash often, but you can only go around a fixed track.
I prefer to have a remote control car, you can drive it anywhere and you will rarely crash it or damage it (if your not stupid and you know what your doing).
Really?
If that is the case then why did they bother to include backwards compatibility hardware in the early models?
I guess adding extra hardware cost to the PS3 helps MAKE money and is cheaper than just software, everybody and there mom knows that...
Exactly, you can do so much more with software emulation.
Even if the games native resolution is alot lower you can force it to render (not upscale) in a higher resolution and also apply other filters such as Aniscopic Filtering and Anti Aliasing.
A feature that should have been included from the start.
I always saw the initial hardware solution as ultra lame, its not like they didnt have proper amount of time to plan for this. If some kid can reverse engineer a game and write interpriter for a PC in his free time, that the developer of the hardware with plenty resources at its disposal is unable to do so in a timely manner.
Im thankfull that its finally comming, but this a feature that should have been implimente...
I hope to god that he was only being funny with that comment.
Yes
Seriously though, try to find something, they look identical.
Dont be ignorant.
GT PSP looks great but it dosnt look as good as forza 3.
Please take off those foggy red goggles.
It looks absolutely great for a portable, but really there is no way you can say it looks as good as the PS3 version.
Just because a newer card comes out dosnt make yours any less powerfull. I got a 8800 when they first came out and im still able to run pretty much anything on high.
So I guess I should take "Bertrand Serlet (Senior Vice President of Software Engineering at Apple)" word as gospel when talking about windows. Thats just as pointless as listening to Balmer talk about OSX.
Really, what was the point of that post?
Besides that it looks like they did add some cool new features like direct gpu access, but I would still list it as just a service pack update. Fortunatly its not expensive, I think for the amount they are aski...
That site is a joke, but im really excited for this game. I dont understand all the hate on both sides, I also cant wait until forza 3 comes out. I dont understand why GT fans feel the need to put down Forza (same goes for forza fans). The success of one game isnt going to make the other game any less great.
Could care less for NASCAR though (snore), I much prefer a track with turns...
If i could run excite bike off of a SSD at 2160p and 120fps would it automaticaly make it better than GT5?
Neither games are out yet, how can you judge the quality of a game based on numbers?
Glad there is someone else that understands this.
Im not going to say I cant see the difference between 1080p and 720p, (because I definetly can), but I rather have the extra processing power spent on making a more detailed environment (more geometry or shaders) instead of a clearer picture.
you really have no clue what you are talking about.
The resolution that a game is rendered at is independent of model detail and texture resolution.
Yes if you can play a psp game on a PS3 and the emulator supports it you can play the game at 1080p.
I have a N64 emulator on my computer and I can play N64 games at 1920x1080 with 8xAA etc...
All the examples you listed dont make any sense. Of course a 1080p VIDEO!! is going to take up ...
Higher resolution does not always mean higher detail.
Does a 1080p game match the same level of detail as a 480p movie? (not at this point in time).
especially with a console that has fixed hardware and has to work in realtime. You only have a fixed amount of power, you can spend it on fps, detail, or resolution.
Resolution dosnt add detail, it just gives you a clearer picture.
Yeah I agree, for the developers its not all about the money.
Even at my job I put in that extra effort to make my product better, not just because I want a raise, but because I have a certain pride in my work.
Investors are a different story, for them its more like " I will give you money if you make me even more money in return"
